Lindsay Lohan was transformed into Liz Taylor by a Latino!

When I first heard about the new Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, I got pretty excited. I've always been a huge fan of Elizabeth Taylor (The furs! The jewels! Those gorgeous eyes!), so I was looking forward to seeing her story brought to the small screen–especially because it was the story of her tumultuous love affair (and marriages… and divorces) with Richard Burton.

Then when I heard that Latino costume designer Salvador Pérez was going to be dressing up Lindsay Lohan as the legendary actress, I just thought: well, of COURSE a Latino would be the only one who could tackle Liz Taylor's famously gorgeous over-the-top style!

Salvador Pérez seriously knows what he's doing. I bet it's not the easiest task to make one actress look exactly like another, but he's doing an incredible job. As he tells People magazine, "there was an audible gasp" when Lindsay walked on set dressed as the screen legend. And I can see why!

The made-for-TV movie stars Grant Bowler as the eponymous Dick but it's really Lindsay as Liz that's got me already obsessed. She's going to be wearing 66 different looks in the 80-minute biopic that spans from 1961 to 1984, when Richard Burton passed away.

I'm not at all surprised that it takes a Latino (since we all know that we love the big dresses, jewelry and furs!) to transform Lindsay into the iconic Liz Taylor. And if the rest of Salvador's work on the movie is proving to be as gorgeous as the photos I've already seen, then I really can't wait to see it. I mean, the love story, the gorgeous fashion… and, let's face it, the jewelry and furs! It's all going to look so fabulous, thanks to this Latino costume designer.
