Would you try a trendy new pastel hair color for spring? (VIDEO)

Don't make fun, but I used to have different-colored hair. And I don't just mean how I to this day seem to go between brunette and red on a semi-monthly basis (with occasional touches of blond when I really feel like being adventurous). No, I mean that I used to have blue hair. And purple, actually. It was in high school and I'd like to say that I didn't know any better and was just having fun experimenting with big, thick streaks of unusual color on my head. Now that I'm a bit older (and wiser, I hope!), I've been seeing a lot of colorful hair streaks lately and it's got me wondering–could I ever do it again? With the pastel-colored hair strand stripe getting trendier by the minute, could you?

Apparently the hot new thing isn't just putting a strand of baby pink or light blue in your hair, but it's actually adding in the color with craft-store chalk. Chalk! Now that doesn't sound so bad, does it? After the feathers and braid trends that wouldn't go away (not that I minded, since I'm a big fan of both), this one seems like the easiest one of all!  Embracing the brightly colored hair trend sure seems easy with the soft pastel chalk, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you should do it. Yes, it's cute and easy, but is coloring your hair in blue, pink, yellow, pink, purple, orange something you've always wanted to do?

Although I've played around with different hair colors in the past, I'm not sure that I could do it again. But when then I see how easy it is to just apply chalk one morning and take out that night, I'm very tempted. Perhaps a streak of hot pink will look great next time that I go to a concert? Maybe. Either way, I'm glad that this hair trend is so easy to do and just as easy to remove if you don't like it.
