Spring trend alert! The little White dress

Every spring new trends come around. It probably has to do with the fact that we're all so pumped for the warmer weather that we are tempted to run out and by ourselves a whole new wardrobe.

But buying a ton of new clothes isn't always the way to revamp your look (or your budget for that matter). It's better to stick to a few more timeless trends that you can revisit for years to come than to jump on the trendy bandwagon and get stuck with pieces that show their age after just a few months.

That's why I am loving the celebrity-approved little white dress trend! White looks really good on most tan skin tones, and as long as the cut is right for your body-type, these frocks can really be universally appealing. Let's take a look at some of our favorite stars rocking white dresses and see what we can learn!

Aimee Garcia goes for a modern take on the LWD for an LA Confidential event, proving that white can be grown and sexy. The black belt accents her waist and adds another interesting geometrical shape to the outfit.

Nine Lives of Chloe King actress Alyssa Diaz looks simple and sweet in a slightly boho white dress with strappy neutral pumps. This LWD easily transitions from day to night.

The Artist star Berenice Bejo took the little white dress super glam when she rocked a sleeveless, floor length white gown to the SAG awards. The lacy detailing and beads up the wow factor, while the low-cut front makes this dress feel less bridal and more red carpet.

Cameron Diaz combines sweet and sexy in this buttoned-up but see-through white peek-a-boo dress. Go for something sheer to add some va-va-voom!

Demi Lovato looks picture perfect in this modern take on a tennis mini. Complete with badass leather jacket, this look transitions from summer to fall without skipping a beat. Plus, the belt works to emphasize her waist and keep the frock from looking too boxy.

Up-and-coming pop star Jasmine Villegas is REALLY working it in this skintight bandage dress. For those of us who are more daring, or just want to show off some killer curves, this is definitely the way to go!

Jessica Alba's prim and proper dress shows that white can be just as polished as any other color. The different textures in the top and the skirt keep this demure look from being boring and I love the extra kick of the snake print heels!

La La Anthony's dress does wonders for her proportions! The yellow stripes help to highlight the curves on her lower body while her gorgeous statement necklace balances out the look.

Monica Cruz looks like a classic, old school Hollywood siren in this simple, but perfectly draped white, long-sleeve number. Though the dress is unadorned, the large swath of white makes a big statement and Cruz knows it, keeping her hair and accessories to a minimum.

Paz Vega seems to strike the perfect balance between glam and laid-back in this floor-length dolman-sleeve dress. Her loose, wavy hair completes her effortless red carpet look.
