‘Velvet’ has four seasons available.
The love story between Alberto and Ana is reminiscent of the one between Romeo and Juliet, but what really grabs you about this show is the fashion, the customs, and the difficulties of everyday life in Spain in the '50s. Let's just say that Velvet showcases 1950s fashion taking Madrid by storm.
The locations used on 'Velvet' are simply amazing.
The producers clearly know how to re-create past eras in a spectacular way, because Velvet shows us a side of Madrid that is clean, dynamic, well put together, and super elegant.
‘Velvet Colección’ has two seasons available.
If you enjoy Velvet, then give Velvet Colección a look. This spin-off tells the story of the opening of a new Galerías Velvet store in Barcelona 10 years after the first series. If the '50s were all about looking for freedom, the '60s are all about the open-mindedness of the younger generation that takes over.
'Velvet Colección' adds sophisticated humor to the mix.
Velvet has lots of dramatic plot twists, but Velvet Colección is a lot more genuine and fresh. The story still centers around the life of Ana and Alberto running Galerías Velvet, but the comedic timing, reminiscent of Betty, la Fea, is what really sets this show apart.
‘Cable Girls’ has six seasons available.
Cable Girls was the first Netflix production in Spain, and it was such a massive success that the company didn't hesitate to increase its investment in creating more content from Spain.
'Cable Girls' is all about women's rights and empowerment in 1920s Spain.
Blanca Suárez plays Lidia, one of the four main characters who gets a job in Madrid in 1928 in a modern company that is installing telephones in the country. While the love stories of Blanca and her friends are the main theme of the show, the subtext of independent women of that time was one of the reasons why the show was so successful.

Will they make it out alive?

The second season of 'El Marginal' is a prequel that tells the story of Diosito and Borges.
The rawness distilled from the characters in this Argentine show make it a work of art. So much that after a phenomenal first season, Netflix produced a second season in which the show backtracks three years to explain the rise to the top of Diosito and Borges in San Onofre's prison.
‘La Casa de Las Flores’ has three seasons available.
La Casa de las Flores is both an homage to and a critique of soap operas. It's kind of everything that you love to hate about telenovelas in a very tongue-in-cheek presentation. That cast is stellar and includes Verónica Castro and Aislinn Derbez.
The first season of 'La Casa de las Flores' was such a hit that Netflix made two more.
The series is a deliciously dark comedy about a dysfunctional Mexican family that owns a flower shop until they don't anymore. It's not your abuela's telenovela; it's a satire of telenovelas that calls attention to stereotypical telenovela representations of class, race, sexuality, and so much more in a very fresh and delightful way.
‘Ingobernable’ has two seasons available.
Kate del Castillo plays an idealistic first lady who loses faith in how her husband is governing as president. She decides to take justice into her own hands. If you're a fan of Kate, you'll enjoy her performance very much.
The 'Ingobernable' story is so raw that it feels like it is based on true events.
Ingobernable caused a huge splash when it made its debut. In September 2018, the show premiered its second season. The story is as raw as it gets, so much so that many asked themselves if it was based on true events. Like maybe headlines from a certain country that starts with an M and ends in exico.
‘Elite’ has three seasons available.
Three young girls from humble families get a spot in Spain's top private school. As you can imagine, the elite students of that school aren't too thrilled about having to share their school with three not-so-elite newcomers.

Social relationships, sex, relationships with people from different religious and economic backgrounds…there's no theme that is not covered in this intriguing and rather sensual show.
'Luis Miguel, La Serie' has 13 episodes available.
The singer worked with the producers, so the final version of the show could be considered a sort of authorized autobiography. It's his side of the story, and his side of the story has been criticized widely.
'Luis Miguel, La Serie' left everyone with some bad feelings about Luisito Rey.
Since the story was approved by Luis Miguel, it was a surprise to see the light that was shone on his dad, Luisito Rey. The show makes it clear that not only was he not the best father, but he was actually a deplorable person. Everyone who watches ends up hating him, and the show even suggests he may have killed Luis Miguel's mom, Marcela Basteri.
'Club de Cuervos' has four seasons available.
When two siblings inherit a soccer team in Mexico, a battle ensues to see who will become the president. Club de Cuervos is a hilarious comedy, with dramatic twists, that does a great job not becoming a soap opera.
Luis Gerardo Méndez in 'Club de Cuervos' will hook you from the get-go.
The actor from Aguascalientes, Mexico, is one of the main producers of the show, and you can tell that his role was tailor-made for him because his performance is one of the best reasons to watch.
