If you have multiple kids, the eternal struggle is figuring out what snacks to feed them that are nutritious, yummy, and that they’ll all like. My picky 4-year-old Saide wasn’t easy to please, but I finally found a snack she loves! And my older kids, 10-year-old Sofia and 12-year-old Sebastian, also devour. It’s a strawberry banana smoothie made with a special ingredient that packs a nutritious punch: Nestlé NIDO® Kinder 1+ Toddler Milk Beverage.

Nestlé® NIDO® Kinder® 1+ is my go-to in my family’s smoothies because I know that each cup of this nutrient-packed drink contains vitamins A, C, D, and zinc to support a healthy immune system, iron to help support brain development. For a hint of sweetness, I add natural agave nectar to make this kid-approved smoothie.
Another reason Saide really enjoys this drink? She helps me make it. With my supervision, she counts out the scoops of Nestlé NIDO Kinder 1+ into the blender, she pops in the fruit, and presses the “on” button when we’re ready to go. It makes it fun for her to make it herself — and she feels like such a big girl. And my mamá heart feels full knowing that besides the nutrition she’s getting, I’m giving her a chance to be independent, a yummy way to practice her math skills, and to just be with me in those moments. That part makes this recipe way more special!

And as an added bonus, big brother and sis get to enjoy this Nestlé NIDO® smoothie as well.

Here’s my recipe!
