Wisin’s newborn daughter, Victoria, has passed away

Wisin and his wife Yomaira Ortiz are mourning the loss of their little angel Victoria. The Boricua singer confirmed the tragic news to fans this morning. The couple's daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder trisomy 13, which causes birth defects and physical abnormalities. Only 5 to 10 percent of babies with the disorder live past a year. His emotional message will break your heart.

Wisin, whose real name is Juan L. Morera, shared this photo of his baby girl and wife. He wrote as a caption:

Thank you God for one month of life, one month of Victoria [victory]. God gives and God takes. Praise God's name! My princess Victoria, I'll see you in heaven. What a deep pain I have. God help me. I want to thank all of the millions of people that have been praying for our family and for our Victoria. Thank you because in every gesture and every word that you all had with us, we could feel God. God have mercy. My princess just passed away.

You can feel Wisin's hurt and pain in his words. In August, Wisin's wife opened up about her diagnosis and revealed that abortion was not an option for them. She released a statement, which read, in part:

We are no one to decide over the life of another human, even if it is our child. Always know that God has a perfect plan, even if at the moment we can't seem to understand it.

The family was hopeful for the health and life of their beautiful daughter. The emotions they are feeling right now must be indescribable. What's even more challenging is that they are living this loss in the public eye. Hopefully Wisin and Yomaira take time to heal and grow stronger as a family.

Wisin recently got a tattoo in honor of his daughter. Victoria's little spirit will always be with them.
