Dairy, including milk, causes digestion problems in up to 75 percent of the world's population. It is also linked to prostate cancer and worsens cases of irritable bowel syndrome. Milk also contains lots of saturated fat which can cause heart problems.

White Flour

White flour provides no nutritional value but it does spike your sugar level. The problem with foods made with white flour is the more you eat the more you want. You get lots of calories and carbs and nothing good in return. Switch to whole grains.

Soy

This is often considered a healthy diet choice, but some soy contains a genetically modified isolate that is similar to estrogen. This substance is associated with a higher risk of cancer and infertility. If you're looking for non-meat sources of protein try quinoa or black beans. Protein bars made with nuts can also be a good choice.

Soda

Carbonated drinks are high in sugar which makes you gain weight. They also contain caffeine which can affect your ability to sleep well at night. This includes diet soda. Not only are the chemicals used in diet soda not good for you, they also mess with your body's ability to know when it's full. Your body will actually crave more sugar after eating an artificial sweetener.

Fruit Juice

A lot of commercial juices contain very little real fruit and lots of sugar. But even juice made from real fruit with no added sugar will still spike your blood sugar level quickly. This means it will go up fast and then drop just as quickly, leaving you feeling hungry. Why doesn't this happen with fruit? Because real fruit is also filled with fiber. The fiber keeps your glucose level from spiking.
