As we get older, we need to change things up a bit to cheat our age. As you know, hair is the frame of the body and the right haircut, color and styling could make you look ten years younger. 1. Add a wave: Curly hair makes women look younger, but a beautiful curl is hard to maintain. You don't have to spend hours curling your entire hair especially if your hair is naturally straight. Simply curl the front of your hair to get that younger vibe.
2. Play with color: If your elementary school friend recognized you right away from your social media photo, it's time to change the shade of your hair. Light colors will make you look younger because your face lights up making the wrinkles hard to spot. Dark colors on the other hand, make them more visible because it casts a shadow on your face especially if your skin tone is light.
3. Know the trend that suits you: Just because everyone is sporting a pixie cut and women with long hair have it ombre styled, it doesn't mean that is going to work for you. You need to consider the shape of your face and the length of your neck before you cut your hair short. If your face is oval and your neck is long a pixie cut might not be the best choice because you face will look longer. Cut it just above the shoulders to get that dramatic look.
4. Bang it out! If your hair is stubbornly straight full bangs are the perfect style to make you look younger. Make sure they are full and they should sit on the eyebrows. Long bangs are great because they transition easily into a side fringe when they grow. If your hair is curly stay away from the bangs or relax them a bit to get the look.
5. Embrace your grays! Grays could be stylish if you treat them well. If your hair is mostly gray make sure to invest in a shampoo with a blue tint to neutralize their silvery and brassy tone. You can also dye your hair violet to make it look edgy. Short haircuts work best for a full gray head and style it with creams and gels.
