A Filipino mother got ahead of herself and sent her newborn baby to the morgue before he was even declared dead! She felt his condition wasn't going to improve and figured she'd keep her hospital expenses from going through the roof if her child wasn't going to live. Well, boy, was she wrong and she should thank her lucky stars that he was discovered crying in the morgue the following day. ¡Pobrecito! What if he had gotten buried alive or embalmed before anyone realized the big mistake?!

Two-week-old baby Aldrin was taken to General Santos Doctors Hospital July 20 after the baby seemed extremely weak. Doctors said the newborn had no heartbeat and wasn't breathing on his own, but were able to revive him and intubate him. His mom was told that if he was removed from intubation he'd die so after 13 days and a hospital bill that passed the $2,300 mark, the mother chalked it up as a lost cause.
So she sent her baby to the morgue! I'm sorry, but before I send my baby to be buried, I'm going to get a second, third, 50th opinion on the matter and, oh I don't know, maybe make sure he's declared dead? The child's doctor never made that declaration, so while I understand that hospital bills are enough to make enough lose their mind, there was still hope for her baby. After carrying that child for nine months and bearing him from my loins, I wouldn't have let go that easily.
Baby Aldrin was sent to the morgue Friday afternoon and was found very much alive and crying the following day. He was sent back to the hospital where he's in stable condition. At least the baby is so young that he won't remember when his mom tried to busy him alive because that would be cause for many years of therapy!
