Spinach, mango & ginger smoothie for the ultimate bikini body

One of the best fruits of the summer is the mango. It's the one piece of produce I wait until this season to buy because the quality is so much better. Frozen pieces just don't compare to a freshly sliced mango.

The other thing that makes mango appealing to me is that it satisfies my sweet tooth without hurting my waistline. I can even add it to my green smoothies!

Besides having it on its own, the mango is a delicious base for your smoothies. Be careful going overboard with the fruit though due to its sugar content! The plus side is that it's sweet enough that you don't need too much to sweeten your smoothie and you definitely dont have to add any other sweeteners.

A great combination to make a healthy smoothie with a mango is spinach and ginger. Spinach has a great mix of iron, antioxidants, magnesium, and calcium that your body needs everyday, while ginger is a fantastic for your digestive system going and also offers healing and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Below is one of my favorite smoothie recipes that you can make even if you are short on time.

You will need:

1 cup of spinach

1/2 a mango

1 banana

1 cup of almond milk

1 teaspoon of grated ginger

Directions: Add ice to the blender along with all of the ingredients and blend. Add more liquid and ice if needed.
