As a parent if you threaten your child with consequences for not doing something they are told to do, you better have every intention of following up on those threats because kids quickly figure out if you are all bark and no bite. A Georgia soldier told his teen daughter that if she didn't start keeping her room clean, he would start treating her like a soldier. She didn't clean her room, he followed up on his threat and call me twisted, but I think that what he did is pretty funny. You ready to see?

This father took his daughter's entire room and put it in their driveway with a big ol' sign that reads, "Haley, room moved to driveway. Clean it next time." Needless to say, his daughter was not amused. She described what he did as "extreme." I don't disagree and most of the time I don't get behind the whole humiliate your kid as punishment kind of thing, but I have to say this one seems more funny than humiliating to me.
In the end both father and daughter are happy. She has agreed to keep her room clean and since the room was empty anyway, he hired someone to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls.
This cracks me up because the family lives Ludowici, Georgia where I guess you can put a whole room of furniture out on your driveway and not worry about it. I live in San Francisco and if someone did that here, everyone would assume the furniture was up for grabs and I guarantee you that kid would have come home to an empty bedroom and an empty driveway.
