The 800-pound woman who confessed to killing her 2-year-old nephew, Eliseo Jr. when she accidentally rolled over and crushed him, is turning over a new leaf. Mayra Rosales was living with her sister Jaime in Sullivan, Texas back in 2008 when the devastating incident took place. But her lawyers and investigators knew her story just didn't add up. A new documentary, Half-Ton Killer: Transformed which is set to air on TLC Dec 4, shows us what really went down along with Mayra's amazing weight loss journey. You're not going to believe how much weight this woman managed to drop!

The documentary reveals how Mayra decided to take the blame for little Eliseo Jr.'s death so that her sister, Jaime, wouldn't lose custody of her other kids. She claimed that she had accidentally rolled over and fell on her nephew, crushing him to death. But when doctor's determined the child's cause of death actually came from beatings, and not from being smothered that's when Mayra was forced to tell the truth. Apparently her sister was beating her kids with brushes.
"We knew something was wrong from the very beginning," her attorney Sergio Valdez told Headline News. "We said, we're going to have to have you reenact [how you killed the child] and you can show us." But poor Mayra was unable to physically demonstrate what she had done. The girl could barely move on her own. She was ill with pneumonia and it literally took 10 men and a huge ambulance to get her out of the house and to a hospital. She wound up breaking down and telling them the truth and as a result was inspired to finally lose some weight.
Mayra has lost nearly 600 pounds due to her new super strict weight-loss regimen. "A lot of it is the diet," she told Access Hollywood. "I'm eating healthy food. Everything is measured by a dietician."
I can't get over how amazing she looks. And I'm even more impressed that she was able to change her life around even after everything she's been through. She almost went to prison for supposedly killing her nephew and then had to turn in her own abusive sister who is now serving a 15-year sentence. If that's not inspiring I don't know what is!
