A Brazilian mom got the scare of a lifetime when her newborn was pronounced dead moments after she was delivered. The woman 22-year-old Jenifer da Silva Gomes had given birth to her daughter Yasmin who was alive at first but then became unresponsive. Doctors declared her dead and even placed her in a coffin, until they received the shock of a lifetime.
Little Yasmin inexplicably came back to life…THREE hours later!

The U.K. Daily Mail says thatYasmin showed no signs of life according to nurse Ana Claudia Oliviera who couldn't bear to take her to the morgue and instead brought her lifeless body to the hospital's chapel. Little did she know a miracle was about to happen…
Brazilian website, Globo G1 spoke to Yasmin's abuela, Elza Silva who was present to witness the newborn's revival. Elza says she and funeral parlour owner, Rosilis Ferro went to the chapel to pick up the deceased infant, when she suddenly started kicking a leg and opened up her eyes. Yasmin's mom and dad were the most devastated over news of her death and were equally as stunned and elated to learn that their baby was in actuality alive.
Shortly after the amazing discovery she was taken to a nearby children's hospital where she remains in stable condition. It's unclear even to doctors how the baby came to life after an hour of trying to resuscitate her and say they've never seen anything like it.this inspired the parents to change Yasmin's name to Victoria, the Portuguese word for "victory." The reason for the newborns revival remains unknown but as her abuela said, it can only be described as a true miracle.
It's crazy that this baby was dead for hours and then suddenly came back to life. I'm sure her parents are going to cherish her and this moment forever, but I hope it's not a sign of an abnormal health condition. There's no other way to describe this story than as a miracle and Victoria seems to be a better suiting name for her anyway!
