33 Times Chiquis Rivera owned her curves like a boss

One of the things we absolutely love about Chiquis Rivera is that her confidence shines through even when people try to bring her down with unkind words. It can't be easy when, despite us supposedly living in an era of body positivity, all you have to do is look at the comments on the social media accounts of "curvier" celebrities to see that there is still so much body shaming going on. That's why we love and support celebrities like Chiquis. Chiquis gets grief about her size all the time, but she does not let hateful trolls dictate how she feels about her body or how she dresses it. Chiquis is all about loving and embracing her curvaceous figure.

More from MamásLatinas: Chiquis Rivera's most controversial moments

The Mexican American singer regularly posts pics to Instagram of herself looking bomb in bodycon clothing that highlights her amazing shape. She exudes confidence in everything she wears, and that confidence is contagious. Dressing should always be filled with joy and be a celebration of self. Chiquis knows that, and that's why she wears clothes that show off her beauty instead of wearing clothes that hide what other people say should be hidden. We love that! Take a moment to check out just a few of the times Chiquis has owned her curves like a boss!

Who knew a plaid coat could be so sexy?

Chiquis did! Seriously, if you saw this coat on a hanger, would you think it could be worn as sexily as Chiquis wears it? Probably not! But dang it if wearing that coat with nothing else underneath isn't a stroke of sexy brilliance on her part. It hugs her curves in all the right places.

Curvy women are always told white isn't slimming.

¿Y que? Why is the goal of dressing to look slimmer? Look at Chiquis wearing a white suit and tell us that she doesn't look phenomenal. Don't listen to "fashion rules" made up to make you feel insecure.

Even when wearing next to nothing, she's so confident.

We had to include this series of photos just for the caption, which reads:

El accesorio mas valioso es la seguridad en ti misma. #AmorPropio
There is always room for improvement, but accepting & loving yourself just the way you are makes you sexier than you think.

She's funny and stylish.

When she posted this picture on November 24, 2020, she wrote: "Thick Barbie Vibez ." She's not wrong! She is totally channeling her inner Barbie with that hair and that shade of pink. That fishnet covering her midsection is hot!

Here she is in head-to-toe white, again.

Women who aren't considered "skinny" are often encouraged to wear head-to-toe black because of its supposedly slimming properties. But what if you're not trying to disguise your curvaceous abundance? Then you can wear head-to-toe white and let all eyes feast on your glory.

Pink carpet glamour on full display.

When Chiquis walked the pink carpet at the 2020 Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony, she looked like she could be the statuette on an award herself. The dress she wore covered everything while hiding nothing. She shimmered.

Does this woman know how to strike a pose or what?

Latin American Music Awards 2017

This photo was taken in 2017 when Chiquis walked the purple carpet at the Latin American Music Awards. Even though it's been years, this look still feels fresh. The fit on Chiquis is what makes her curves shine even more than the shine on the dress.

Chiquis the cheetah!

Hello, waist! Chiquis flaunted her incredible curves in a form-fitting cheetah-print dress in September 2020. The way she wore it with a red leather jacket and red heels says, "I'm bolder than most!" And she is when it comes to her style choices.

She always chooses the right clothes for her frame.

In 2015, she wore a look that was obviously inspired by Rosie the Riveter, but she wore it her way. She picked a denim jumpsuit with stretch that could accommodate the ins and outs of her curves. It was a very flattering look on her.

Minis aren't only for thin women.

Chiquis does not let any rules of fashion define her style or prevent her from wearing the clothes she loves. She knows that she can rock just about anything with her killer body, and that includes miniskirts or mini dresses. Why wouldn't she want to show off those powerful legs?

She can be very elegant.

The wine-colored dress she wore in 2015 to Premios Bandamax made her look like a tall drink of vino tinto. Her lips matched the dress perfectly, and the cutout detail on the dress made it a little risqué.

What a view!

Chiquis showed a side view of her curves in a form-hugging dress, and she looked amazing! The singer has such an impressive silhouette, and she has enviable curves in every direction.

Chiquis wore the heck out of this dress!

She walked the purple carpet for Premios de la Radio in this dazzling dress. The dress looks like it was made for her because she looks absolutely flawless in it. There are no fit issues at all.

She looks beautiful in burgundy.

Chiquis knew people would be giving her the once-over in this jumpsuit, because she looks good from head to toe. Maybe that's why she added those gold heels—so no one would feel bad about looking her up and down.

She got cheeky on her birthday!

phugb2wx4o1.jpg

On June 26, 2019, in honor of her birthday she posted this picture and wrote:

"For those of you trying your best to bring me down, ruin MY day, and take my joy, well… you can kiss my a$$! Very Happy birthday to me. #FlawsAndAll Celebrando un año más de vida, a mi manera! Gracias a DIOS!!!"

She owned this purple bodycon dress.

We can't get over how incredible she looks. This makes us want to get a little purple dress. It's a deep shade of purple that you don't come across often, but when you do it's de-lovely!

This lace dress is everything.

phm5a9u5ss1.jpg

It showed off her amazing shape and matched her lip color perfectly. Burgundy is one of her go-to colors, and we can see why. Her honey colored tresses look phenomenal, too.

She can rock a gown like no other.

The shade of blue she wore to Premios Billboard a la Música Latina in 2017 is perfection! She looks regal in this gown. All hail Queen Chiquis in royal blue! She is stunning.

The zipper on this bodycon dress brings the heat.

It's edgy and also figure-flattering. Zippers that go all the way up and down a dress seem somehow naughty and on a blush dress they create a naughty-but-nice look that we're loving.

She looks so pretty in pink.

She should rock this shade more often. Actually, more of us should. Pink is universally flattering, not to mention it can work as a neutral. The world would be better if we all wore more pink.

She's obsessed with pencil skirts.

Because she looks SO good in them! They are amazingly flattering on her. A lot of curvier women think that can't wear this style, but the trick is to get them in a fabric with stretch.

We swear she has one in every color.

phubsiuvoc1.jpg

This bright red one is life! It pops and so does she. We love how she did the whole red, white, and blue combo. This would be a great Fourth of July look. Excuse us while we make a note of this.

She's all about street style.

And she wears it so well. Chiquis looks great regardless of whether she is dressed up or down. We think that's because she always seems comfortable in her skin. Like she's wearing clothes that make her happy and fit her well.

She nails the rocker girl like no other.

phs1jz3fgg1.jpg

Circa '90s Madonna would be proud. Heck, Madonna nowadays might want to borrow this look. Maybe they should team up and do a song together! How fun would that be? Make it happen, Universe!

Even her casual dresses are flattering.

phnzc1pj401.jpg

She proves that curvy women can wear horizontal stripes all they want. Some style "rules" are ridiculous, after all. Stripes are awesome and all bodies can wear them. Stop following ludicrous rules that were made up by other human beings.

You can never go wrong with an LBD.

ph4d7zkrms1.jpg

Or a long black dress, in this case. She's got a serious case of va-va-va-voom in this dress. Like a Latina Jessica Rabbit in black. If you don't know who Jessica Rabbit is, Google can help you with that.

This metallic dress adds instant edge.

phuvx4t4g81.jpg

And can we talk about that slicked-back hair look? So bomb and then some! She's worn her hair like that multiple times and we can't get enough of it. It gives her volume and height in the front while still looking sleek.

She should live in yellow.

phf59296681.jpg

She looks flawless in this color. Love the color and the collar. The way the collar fans out also brings attention to her waist. The proportions are just right and so are the shoes.

This nude number enhances her natural hourglass figure.

ph5k7gbvcc1.jpg

Seriously, this dress is the perfect shade of wonderful against her skin. It makes her look peachy! The detailing on it is fantastic too. We also love that she kept the rest of the look simple.

The choker and strappy bralette combination make this outfit.

phbllix86c1.jpg

The details give it an edgy look without being fussy. Also, does Chiquis ever take a bad picture? Because we've never seen a bad photo of her. Even when she doesn't seem to know she's being photographed she looks good.

Baby got back.

phsbdlepcs1.jpg

And she's proud of the booty her mama gave her. Why shouldn't she be? The ruching going up the backside of this dress could not be better placed. This gown is meant to be seen from behind as much as it is from the front.

She's nailed how to combine casual chic with curve-hugging clothing.

phwbspb0w81.jpg

Because, yes, you can do both. She really is great at accessorizing her bodycon dresses. This is a look we could all borrow. You just top a form-fitting dress with a loose open sweater and add a hat.

An edgy jacket dresses down a bodycon dress.

phwaja82041.jpg

Every. Single. Time. The dress on its own would look good, but the jacket takes it to the next level and makes it seem more like an outfit. That same dress would look totally different with a different jacket.
