Latina actress Zoe Saldana recently announced a new partnership with sportswear company Adidas. The actress has been working with Adidas to design an apparel collection that will be sold exclusively at Kohl's department stores. The line will include activewear, athleisure, footwear, and accessories.

Zoe's Adidas collection is set to arrive in almost 500 stores nationwide later in September. The actress explained she intends for her collection to "highlight, support, and celebrate women of color." She says the collection was designed with all women in mind and that she drew inspiration from the women she grew up around.
Zoe agrees with Adidas' mission.
"Adidas is taking the initiative to inspire women to thrive by taking pride … of their health and wellness… It felt like a great match," Zoe told Refinery 29 on Thursday, about the line which will drop on September 30, and appears to have a feminine but still functional look and feel.
It's in keeping with her own fitness experience.
"One of the most important aspects of my life has been exercise. It keeps me healthy and happy both physically and mentally," Zoe said in her official Instagram announcement of the collaboration with Adidas and Kohl's.
Adidas has a long-term deal with Kohl's.
Adidas is in the middle of a two-year partnership with Kohl's that includes "shop-in-shop" experiences in 175 stores, but both companies—Kohl's in particular—have experienced drops in their stock performance in 2020. It's safe to assume that the partnership with Zoe will boost visibility and draw more shoppers into Kohl's stores.
Kohl's is known for its celebrity collaborations.
In addition to brand partnerships, Kohl's is well-known for its celebrity collaborations which have included stars like Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Lauren Conrad, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ellen DeGeneres, and many others.
Zoe's collection is all about helping women feel confident and empowered.
"The women I grew up with were my first muses," Zoe said. "I loved every curve of their bodies. However, I also witnessed how discouraged they'd become when shopping at department stores and not seeing representatives of themselves," she continued, explaining that she hopes for the collection to help all women "feel sexy and be the best versions of themselves."
The clothes looks comfy, hip, and wearable.
Although not a ton of images have been released yet, the items from the collection that we've seen so far look both practical and stylish, and much like Zoe explained, they truly look like they will be flattering and wearable for women of all shapes and sizes. We can't wait to take a look in person!
