In the eyes of many, especially Latinas, Jennifer Lopez can do no wrong. Jen is one of our most beloved celebrities, and she is constantly being recognized for her contributions to the culture and to the world of entertainment. Her fashion and style have also been celebrated continuously, but this doesn't mean that she has not had some missteps when it comes to her fashion choices in the past.
Jen has had major moments on the red carpet that have solidified her as a force to be reckoned with in the world of fashion, but there have been some sartorial choices that have left us scratching our heads in confusion.

Now, these moments are few and far between, obviously, but they do exist. They sometimes have happened when Jen has tried something new or when her usual go-to look was taken just a bit too far. From her onstage bodysuits to her sheer red carpet gowns, J.Lo knows what works for her and her body. There have been times, though, when she has missed the mark and worn outfits that landed her on the worst dressed lists.

Some people might have liked this look Jen put together in August 2019, but it was definitely unusual for her. The style is not what we're used to from her, but there's nothing wrong with trying something new.
There are a lot of things we can let Jen slide with.
But this hat is not one of them. Many were confused when she showed up on the red carpet at the 2019 Grammys wearing an ill-fitting white dress with a huge matching hat. We really might never fully understand this look.
Sometimes less is more.
There is nothing wrong with the dress or the shoes she chose on this occasion. Separately, they could work, but together? There's just a little too much going on.
Everyone knows Jen loves her lace.
This outfit she wore to the Billboard Awards seemed like it was right up her alley. But the white cape she wore on top of the ensemble definitely threw off the whole look.
There are certain outfits we wish we could forget.
This is one of them. As much as we love J.Lo and know that she has an incredible physique, this dress she wore on American Idol seemed to be wearing her. The thigh slits, the lace, and the fabric were all too much to handle.
J.Lo got some major criticism for these boots.
These denim boots with a long, white shirt dress made it look like Jen dropped her pants. Some might have thought it was an edgy and fashion-forward look, but others did not agree.
J.Lo somehow pulled off this look.
Everything from the all-white outfit to the padded shoulders and braids seemed like a recipe for disaster. Somehow, Jenny pulled it off, but it is definitely not her best look.
She tried something new.
Jen looked so wholesome in this monochromatic peach look. We're used to a sexy and fiery Jen, so perhaps seeing her dressed so conservatively might take some getting used to?
There are some trends that don't work on anyone.
Beautiful women might be able to get away with just about anything they wear, but even some trends, like the high-low dress J.Lo is wearing here, just don't look right on anyone.
This color is just not the most flattering.
There's really no color that J.Lo doesn't look good in, but this salmon pink ensemble is just a bit odd and sort of washes her out.
Even some of her onstage looks have been questionable.
This crop top looks a bit too small and the sheer openings on the side of her thigh are just a bit much? She rocked it anyway and put on quite a show.
J.Lo loves the sheer looks.
Something about this hair and this outfit seem to be too overwhelming on her. Perhaps it's the outfit's dark color, but J.Lo seems to have gotten lost behind it all.
Animal print is timeless.
But wearing full head-to-toe animal print might be just a bit much. There is a lot of cheetah print going on here, and the hat? She could've gone without.
Her onstage looks have made us scratch our heads sometimes.
She has become a big fan of using bodysuits onstage, but this one seemed a bit confusing. The silver plus the sheer areas are just a bit too overwhelming.
Even J.Lo misses the mark sometimes.
There is something about this white turtleneck dress that just doesn't work. Perhaps it's the fit of it or how it seems to be overpowering her, but we know Jen could have found a better choice to wear.
