Demi Lovato is getting married! She and her fiancé went public with their engagement on July 23 via their Instagram accounts and we are thrilled for them. Now, Demi we’ve been keeping tabs on for a long time, but what’s up with this Max Ehrich guy? Who is and what’s he all about? He and Demi haven’t been together all that long, but we do know that they practiced social distancing together, so that means that they’ve had lots of time to get to know each other. So, Demi knows a lot about Max, but what do we know?

Well, we’ve put together a list of interesting things about the actor who grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey, before heading off to pursue his artistic dreams. It's interesting to note that he has a lot in common with Demi. To begin with, they are close in age—she was born in 1992 and he was born in 1991. They are also both multitalented. And there’s more that we’ll get into while we sharing more about Max Ehrich, the man who will be marrying Demi Lovato.
He’s an Emmy-nominated actor.
Max is probably best known for playing Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless. He does a pretty good job as Fenmore because he’s been nominated four times for an Emmy in the category of outstanding young actor in a drama series. Good for him!
He was also on the series ‘Under the Dome’ on CBS.
He played Hunter May on the show and recently Demi made him watch himself in it. Max posted a video of the series playing on a TV on his Instagram account and wrote: “when your love forces you to watch your old series @officialunderthedomecbs but gotta say; the show is more relatable than ever.. besides the alien part.. at least that we know of yet .”

You can watch him in the Netflix movie Walk. Ride. Rodeo. that came out in 2019. The film is a biopic about the life of rodeo barrel racer Amberley Snyder. In it, Max plays her love interest, Tate. He definitely looks the part of a love interest, just ask Demi.
He’s also a singer.
Demi isn’t the only one with pipes in the relationship. Max can sing! Like really sing. He sounds good just sitting at the piano and belting out a song. His voice sounds great in a video he posted of himself playing the piano and singing in honor of Naya Rivera after her body was found and her death confirmed.
He’s a songwriter.
So, not only was he in the film Walk. Ride. Rodeo. a song he wrote was also featured in it. Way to go, Max. He is definitely multitalented and making the most of his talents. Demi is multitalented as well. Hmmm, perhaps we’ll see them collaborate artistically in the future.
He’s a dancer.
Oh, you know, because being an Emmy-nominated actor, a singer, and a songwriter isn’t enough, go ahead and add dancer to Max’s resume. The man has moves and he’s not afraid to show them off. He doesn’t just shuffle from side to side, her tears it up on the dance floor.
He’s got a Disney connection, just like Demi.
Remember how Demi was a part of the whole Disney entertainment machine and even had her own show with the company called Sonny with a Chance? Well, Max has worked with Disney as well. He was in High School Musical 3: Senior Year and he appeared on episodes of the series Shake it Up staring Zendaya and Bella Thorne.
He works out and it shows.
As you can see in this black and white video that he posted of himself working out on, he doesn’t come by his chiseled physique by sitting on the sofa all day. Nope, he works hard for those muscles and that hard work has certainly paid off.
Does he have any tattoos?
As any Demi Lovato fan can tell you, Demi has quite a few tattoos. That makes us wonder if Max has any. From what we can tell, he doesn’t appear to have any yet. Of course, we haven’t examined him in the flesh, but from the flesh he has shown online, we don’t see any.
He loves his lady’s dogs.
Demi has two dogs and even in the short time that Max and she have been Instagram official, we’ve seen quite a few pics of Max loving on the dogs. The best part is that the dogs really, really seem to like him. That’s gotta be a good sign, right?
He and Demi appeared in the Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber ‘Stuck with U’ video.
Max and Demi practiced social distancing together and decided to show us a bit of their time together in the "Stuck with U" video. They had hinted at how much time they were spending together before, but this was like them officially, officially showing the world that they were happy to be stuck together. They both posted the clip that they submitted for the video on their Instagram timelines. “Happy to be a part of something so special right now. Like really REALLY happy if you can’t tell… #stuckwithu,” Demi wrote.
Both he and Demi support the Black Lives Matter movement.
Demi has used her platform to help advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement by posting about it and also by having activists do takeovers. Max has also been vocal on his own platform about supporting the movement and has posted resources to take action.
In 2011, he wished for Demi Lovato.
In 2011, Max tweeted: “All I wanted for Christmas was Demi Lovato. #cantalwaysgetwhatyouwant….” How crazy is it that he expressed is admiration for Demi Lovato almost nine years before he ended up with her? It’s nuts! If that’s not proof that manifestation works, we don’t know what is.
In 2020, he asked Demi to marry him.
While most of us have been having a rough year, Demi and Max were falling in love. On July 23, Max posted a series of photos that revealed that he asked Demi to marry him and he wrote:

He’s going to have a very merry Christmas this year.
It may have taken him a few years to manifest Demi into his life, but he did it. In 2020, the wish he made in 2011 will actually come true. He will get to spend Christmas with Demi. She shouldn’t even bother getting him a present because like he said, all he wants for Christmas is her.
