Abiel Magaña grew up feeling like a girl trapped in a boy's body. He recalls in a recent interview with Telemundo's Al Rojo Vivo that at around the age of 5 years old he started playing dress-up with dresses, wigs, and makeup. When he was 18 years old, he started taking hormones and began living life as a woman. For 20 years, Abiel was a she, but now Abiel wants to go back to being a he. But why?

He's been sharing his story of going back to living life as a man via his social media channels and his story has also been covered on television programs. The decision came after much discrimination, emotional pain, and a dream.
Abiel's journey from boy to woman to man has not been an easy one.

Do you see those scars on Abiel's arms? They are there because when he was a little boy and started going through puberty and getting more hair on his body, he was so traumatized that he started cutting himself, but not for the reasons you might think. He cut himself, not to end his life, but because he reasoned that no hair would grow on the scar tissue.
With the help of hormones, Abiel became Libi.
Abiel became Libi. Libi was in a romantic relationship for eight years with a man who shamed her for not being able to have children because she was transgender. The pain of being shamed by her partner was added to the pain of facing discrimination and harassment from many for being transgender.
Then after 20 years of living as a woman, Abiel had a dream. He considers the dream to have been a sort of religious vision. In the dream he found himself in some kind of a hole, he couldn't stand until he started screaming that Jesus was the only exit.
Abiel credits the dream for his decision.
In a candid video posted to Facebook, Abiel cuts the hair he wore as a woman. He also covers four points. The first is that he has not been brainwashed into making this decision. The second is about what makes a man and how he doesn't think that God makes mistakes. The third addresses the changes in his voice. The fourth is about not judging people.
Things are changing rather quickly.
It's been less than two months since Abiel decided to transition back to being a man. In this video, he shares the changes happening to his voice after discontinuing estrogen treatments.
Call him Abiel.
This recent picture posted to Instagram shows Abiel as he is now. The caption reads: "Call me Abiel. After 20 years of living as a woman I finally decided to go back to a man! My journey, my story… living on my own flesh the truth of my life!"
It is his story and we wish him well.
