The news was delivered by Joaquin himself on social media. Denise, Joaquin's mom, died of congestive heart failure. Both Joaquin and his sister Angelica are devastated and are asking for financial help to build her a memorial.

While Johnny is exactly the right person to help them through this, the 17-year-old reality TV star is also very affected by this death and has even wondered on Twitter why his family and loved ones go through so much pain. This death has definitely hit too close to home.

Johnny's followers found out about the death through Joaquin himself on Twitter.

"She passed away [from] congestive heart failure, and it is ironic because she was a warrior with the heart of a lion. Our mommy taught us how to love and we will forever be grateful to spread her love around this world and carry her with everywhere we go," he and his sister wrote in their GoFundMe tribute.

Johnny's boyfriend doesn't seem to be taking it well.

"I miss you mommy," he also wrote on another tweet. It's truly heartbreaking to see how much this young boy is suffering.

Joaquin and his sister set up a GoFundMe page.

The siblings want to raise money to honor their mom the best way they can.

It's hard to believe that Johnny has to go through this.

Let's hope that his sibblings are reminding him to take care of himself too. This touches many sore spots.

Johnny's words made us so sad.

The Riveras, not only Jenni's kids, have experienced so much sadness and loss.

Johnny acknowledged his ongoing pain a few days before.

His speech during his Jenni Rivera's funeral still gives us goosebumbs.

Johnny also lost his dad in 2009 and always remembers both his parents.

His words on social media remind us to value our own parents. Hopefully, he inspired Joaquin to tell his mom how much he loved her before she passed.

At least they have each other.

They are both close to their siblings and if there is anything that helps get people through things tragedies like these, it's love.
