Sunday's Emmy Awards was an important moment for women. The big winners included female actresses, like powerhouses Elisabeth Moss, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, Nicole Kidman and more. The ladies were definitely bringing it–and on the red carpet too. In fact, there were quite a number of amazing looks that night along with your "what-in-the-world-was-she-thinking?" outfits. We're calling it a perfect blend of everything.

Like every red carpet award show, there are great looks and not-so-great looks. Either way, they all get us talking and while we might prefer one style over another, we're certainly not here to judge. It's all good!
We will say though, that unlike previous Emmys, this one was definitely a lot more exciting in terms of the winners, the nominees and of course the fashion. Style-minded celebs like Sofia Vergara, Gina Rodriguez, Zoe Kravitz among many more, really went in this year. Here's a look at some of our faves and not-so-favorite looks of the night!
Gina Rodriguez looked like a star.

The Jane The Virgin star showed up in an insanely sexy red gown that featured a super deep plunge and sparkly mesh material. Go ahead girl!
Sofia Vergara looked great, but the same.

As amazing as Sofia looked, it would have been nice to see her rock a different style for once. The Modern Family actress, who lives in mermaid style dresses, rocked yet another one of this style for this year's Emmys. It also reminded us of a wedding dress. But, hey, her bangs look on point!
Reese Witherspoon's blazer dress wasn't doing it for us.

It wasn't bad, just not glamorous enough for a red carpet event.
Uzo Aduba looked like a real-life goddess.

The Orange Is The New Black actress stunned in a white Sally LaPointe form-fitted gown that flattered her curves and looked great against her complexion. We love that she rocked her natural hair too!
Zoe Kravitz looked fabulous as usual.

The Big Little Lies actress hit the red carpet in a plunging Dior Haute Couture gown that featured a cool ombre effect. She looked like an edgy princess.
Tessa Thompson's rainbow dress gave us life.

We loved everything about this number–from the vibrant colors to the cut-outs around the waist. She definitely worked it!
We didn't love Debra Messing's metallic gown.

It looked like it was made of rubber and wet; it just didn't work. Sorry, Debra!
Sarah Paulson was a vision in silver.

That shimmery Carolina Herrera dress said chic y punto. From the voluminious cap sleeves to the waist cut-outs, everything about this number was perfection. Even Vogue magazine approved.
Tracee Ellis Ross channeled her inner diva.

The Black-ish star walked the red carpet in a silver Chanel dress that had look-at-me-I'm-fabulous written all over it. YASSS!
Laverne Cox looked SO good!

She practically ruled the red carpet in that edgy Naeem Khan dress that was paired perfectly with her gorgeous smoky eye look.
Mandy Moore's black and white dress was timeless.

The This Is Us actress looked like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn in a black and white Carolina Herrera gown. Her bright pink lipstick added the perfect finishing touch.
Issa Rae slayed in red.

The co-creator, executive producer, and star of HBO's Insecure stepped out in a fierce custom Vera Wang gown that flattered her sculpted figure and showed off her gorgeous back.
Shailene Woodley looked line a gem.

That plunging emerald green dress was everything. The open back looked just as good as the front.
