Rihanna__'s Fenty Beauty line is finally here and apparently it's selling out like hot cakes. But part of the reason why these products are flying off the shelves is due to RiRi's Pro Filt'r Foundations, which come in 40 shades for women of all skin tones. This is huge, especially considering how hard it is for many women of color to find matching shade selections. In a recent interview with Latina, RiRi revealed that she absolutely had Latinas in mind when putting together the collection.

"I got my love for my Latino and Latinas! The foundation is such an extremely perfect formula and I wanted range [in terms of options]. With every product I was like, 'there needs to be something for a dark-skinned girl, there needs to be something for a pale-skinned girl and everything in between," Rihanna told Latina. "You want to appreciate the product and not go 'oh, that's cute, but it only looks good on her.'"

The line is strongly complexion-focused and includes everything from the Pro Filt' Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, 30 Match Stix, which are complexion tubes that come in 20 matte shades used to contour, correct, and conceal, the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter that comes in 6 shimmery shades, and one lip gloss, the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer that's supposed to complement all skin tones. There are Latinos on the Fenty Beauty team.
"One of my product managers is Latin, and she’s very proud of what we created. We also have two amazing Global Makeup Artists who are also Latin. I feel really indebted to Latin culture,” Rihanna told Latina magazine.
The line is very complexion focused.
"Because no matter your skin type, adding glow on glow = unwanted shine," Rihanna told Latina. The 40 shade options were created so that every girl of every skin tone could find her shade. In fact, RiRi’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation has already sold out in most of the darker shades.
There are highlighters for all skin tones.
A large majority of the highlighters out these days still come out in mainly pearly-pink and champagne shades that look chalky and unnatural on darker complexions. But Rih’s Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter comes in 6 shades, with at least half of them working for darker and deeper complexions. The Ginger Binge and Trophy Wife shades look bomb on brown skin. We’re just saying!
The foundation is matte.
