A baby in India is holding the title as the "heaviest baby girl in the world." The 19-year-old mom welcomed her daughter, who is yet to be named, via c-section. The baby girl came in weighing a reported 15 pounds, which is nearly double the average weight of a newborn. It's a miracle that the baby is alive and healthy. See the incredible pic and video.

The local health officer in India, Dr Venkatesh Raju, told the media, "I believe she is not only the heaviest baby born in India but the heaviest baby girl ever born in the world." What a big surprise!
The baby is healthy and passed her diabetes test. I can't imagine what the recovery must be like for this poor mom. This also means that this poor baby's heart is working extra hard.
Giving birth to an obese child has its consequences. According to Guinness Book of World Records, the biggest baby was born in Canada in 1879. He weighed 23 pounds and passed away several hours later.
I hope this angel survives and is able to live a happy and healthy life.
