A 5-year-old girl named Allison Anderwald saved her mother after she suffered a seizure and fell unconscious in her swimming pool. The moment was caught on the family's surveillance system. It's chilling to watch the little girl sprint into action. That crucial moment was the difference between life and death. Watch it for yourself and I guarantee you'll be left speechless.

In the clip, Allison's mom Tracy is seen face down in the pool, which is pretty terrifying. The little girl swims towards her mother and drags her to the shallow end of the pool. She places her mother's head above the water. Then, she runs inside of the house as quickly as she can and asks for help from visiting relatives. It's pretty amazing that Allison was able to swim to her mother's rescue!
According to Pix 11, the little girl learned how to swim at the age of 2. This proves to me even more that teaching children how to swim is an essential life skill. It's also so important to talk to your children about how to handle emergency situations. In this case, she knew to reach out for help quickly. It was part of what saved her mother's life.
Allison's family told the news station that she's pretty small for her age. Clearly that doesn't stop her from being a mini hero.
