In the clip above, Violet is seen showing off her professional palettes to master a chic bold purple lip look. Milian's kid isn't using drug store makeup, either. She's all about NARS, Mac and even has a professional beauty blender. I have to admit, her makeup applying skills are pretty impressive.
The video below also shows little Violet in action with Rihanna's "Work" playing in the background. The Instagram clips were uploaded to Violet's Instagram account, which is managed by her mom and has 84,000 followers. Violet's love for makeup probably speaks to the tight bond Milian has with her daughter.
While I don't want to be one of those annoying judgemental moms, I really can't help it. This isn't someone who's just playing with her mom's makeup bag like we all did as a kid. She's contouring, shading in her eyebrows and using a beauty blender! Why is this little girl encouraged to apply makeup like this?
Yes, it's cute to watch at first and she's straight-up adorable, but what long-term effects will it have on her relationship with beauty and self-esteem? Will she be one of those girls that never feels confident unless she's wearing a face full of makeup? Maybe not, but I feel like Milian is running that risk. I think this is a fine line that's pretty irreversible once crossed.
