It was refreshing to see so many new beauty trends coming out of the Golden Globes Red Carpet. It was even better to realize that Latinas were setting the fashion in both face and hair. Our stars were gorgeous and perfect. Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Selena Gomez, among others, rocked it–get ready to shine like they did.

Red lips
América Ferrera's luminous complexion was highlighted by soft red lips, which are a big trend. As you can see, they were not matte or shinny, just a perfect mix. Believe it or not, the look was created with Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer.
Earth tones
Gina Rodriguez was a vision in dark blue and earth tones. Although her look was quite polished, it still feels like she just enjoyed a carefree day outside.
Asymmetrical hair
Yes, it's back and while some women wear it beautifully, I honestly hoped it was a style I'd never see again. If you want to try it, though, maybe just get a hairdo similar to Cate Blanchett's before you decide to chop it all off on one side.
Matte pinks
Just because there some shiny lips going around, don't think that matte lipsticks are out. Take a look at Eva Longoria's perfect matte pink pout, which is perfectly on-trend and very flattering.
Bronde hair
Even dark haired beauties like Zendaya can adopt the bronde hair trend, opting for low and highlights in copper and bronze tones, mixed with dark brown tresses.
Light eyeshadow
This is the face of 2016: dramatic lips and light eyes. __Jennifer Lopez'__s makeup artist Mary Phillips explained that she used L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte-Matic Liner to the upper and lower lashlines, "making sure to get in between lashes to add drama in an understated, 'un-heavy' sort of way."
Glowy cheeks
Alicia Vikander, star of The Danish Girl, was right on trend with her sun-kissed cheeks, which had nothing to do with spending a day in the sun, but everything to do with Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick in Las Salinas. This easy, healthy glow is a huge trend for 2016.
Vintage hair
Elaborate but messy is a way to describe Katy Perry's hairdo last night. It's an interesting trend that recreates the complicated hair of the 60's and 70's, but in a more informal way and with the help of a wig or hair pieces.
Complicated braids
Jaimie Alexander opted for this complicated braid in her hair, a style that's taking the trend of 2015 to a new level.
Iluminator and peach
Selena Gomez looked amazing at the afterparties and her face was perfection. Her makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, achieved her complexion with Nars Orgasm Illuminator and a peach blush. It seems that contouring and browns are out. The trend now is to lighten the parts of the face that you want to highlight. It works!
