That newborns can lose weight

It's normal for breastfed babies to lose as much as 10 percent of their birth weight and even formula fed babies can experience weight loss, but that doesn't stop new moms from panicking.

I can't stress this enough: sleep deprivation SUCKS. You never know when you will get uninterrupted sleep when you are a new mom, it's rarer than a chupacabra siting.

That luxurious mane of hair you had while pregnant is going to leave you. During pregnancy, increased levels of estrogen keeps your hair in the growing stage and you lose very little. Once the baby is born, all the hair that was hangin' on will start falling out. It's okay, you're not going bald, your body is just getting back to normal.
