Christina Milian’s sister Danielle mourns her baby’s death hours after birth & her message will make you cry

Christina Milian's sister, Danielle, suffered the devastating loss of her newborn son, Richie, hours after giving birth on Tuesday. In March, her unborn baby was diagnosed with omphalocele, a birth defect in which the abdominal organs grow outside of the body. Doctors urged Danielle to terminate the pregnancy, but she refused, hoping that her baby would survive. She recently posted a sad message mourning her son.

Danielle and her husband Richard Dickerson shared their emotional pregnancy journey in the spring. In an interview with Us Weekly, Danielle explained, "I said to [Richard], 'Could you live with this?' Because I know I can. I know I could be in a hospital every day. As a mother, I will do whatever it takes for my child."

Danielle wrote an emotional post honoring her little one's soul after his passing. In part, she wrote, "He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways." Tía Christina also took to her Instagram to share her thoughts and referred to her nephew as "Angel Baby Richie." She shared:

The last 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster but I'd like to thank everyone for being so supportive throughout my sister Danielle & Richard's pregnancy. The both of them have shown the true measure of courage and faith for the last 9 months and I can't praise them more.

As an expecting mother, I admire their immense strength, courage and grace. I hope Danielle praises and honors herself for being such a fighter and brave soul. She passed down that same spirit to her little boy, who fought until the very end to survive.
