Don't brush your hair

Unless you want a head full of poof and frizz, I suggest you step away from that hair brush and grab a wide tooth comb instead.

Always cleanse with conditioner

Don't want to spend $20 on a cleansing conditioner? Just use whatever conditioner is in your shower–this totally works!

Do a deep treatment

Doing a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week will make your curls unbelievably more manageable. They'll be so soft and frizz-free, you won't know what to do with yourself.

Use oils

Nothing hydrates quite like the oils in your kitchen. I recommend coconut oil and almond oil.

Detangle from the bottom up

The best way to get tangles and knots out is by detangling hair from the ends working your way up to the roots.

Leave conditioner in

I never rinse out all the conditioner out of my hair. I leave a little on to keep my hair smooth and help lock in moisture.

Diffuse

For soft, healthy curls, I recommend hair drying. But for those days you're not about walking around with wet, use a diffuser attachment and keep the settings low.

Use a T-shirt

Don't EVER dry wet curly hair using a towel. Unless you're ok with frizz and knots. Use a plain ol' T-shirt instead. It works every time.

Do the pineapple

Pile hair loosely on top of your head to keep curls bouncy and defined. Oh this also helps prevent frizz by the way!

De-crunch curls

To take crunch out of curls, tip head upside down and massage hair from the scalp to the roots. It shakes off any stiffiness right away!

Use curl pudding

Curly pudding helps tp blast frizz and is perfect for thick curly hair. The key is to start off with a small amount and add more product to your hair if necessary.

Invest in a serum

This serum is a gem especially on summer days when hair tends to be drier! No matter how thin or thick your hair is, it leaves your hair shiny and frizz-free. Apply a small amount when hair is still wet.
