____We hear you loud and sheerly clear, Carolina Herrera! The iconic fashion designer has a few words to share about the illusion mesh trend and it isn't pretty. Herrera took a dig at celebrities who rock the look and the queen of the nude sheer gowns Jennifer Lopez. We all know J.Lo practically lives in nude sheer dresses nowadays and Herrera isn't impressed one bit! She told the Washington Post, "They're trying to get people to pay attention to them. In life, there should be a little mystery." I totally agree! But that wasn't Herrera's worst diss against the nude dress fad. Her words really sting!

At one point, Herrera adds, "They're supposed to be fashion icons and they're not wearing anything." She's right about that. Watching barely covered up celebrities on the red carpet is starting to become a little too predictable and boring. Herrera went as far as comparing the look to huevos fritos! I'm not joking. "If it's open so much, they look like fried eggs. Fashion is about proportion… For me, fashion is about originality, sophistication and beauty," she said.
I agree 100 percent with Herrera, but I also feel like women should wear what makes them feel confident, beautiful and sexy. If J.Lo wants to rock a nude dragon dress then so be it! Perhaps Herrera feels a little burn that her red carpet style isn't being showcased enough by stars these days.
I think honoring your body and showcasing an air of mystery is a beautiful thing and should definitely be back in style. However, if Jennifer wants to rock the nude, sheer dresses, why not? And she does–check out her favorite red carpet look that's become her staple!
