Beauty blender

Beauty blenders help soften your look and blend your foundation perfectly, but there's nothing pretty about a dirty one! To clean your beauty blender, dip it in warm water, add a few drops of hypoallergenic soap and rub the soap in well. Then rinse and dip in clean warm water to make sure the soap has been rinsed off well.

Lipstick

Believe it or not, lipsticks carry bateria and should be cleaned the longer you use them. To kill the germs, cut the tip off with a sharp knife. Then stick your favorite color stick in the freezer overnight and allow for it to return to room temperature before using.

Eyeliner sharpener

Often times eyeliner sharpeners have residue stuck in the blade, which can be difficult to clean off. Wet a cotton stick with witch hazel astrigent and wipe along the blade and inside. It will look brand new when you're done! Clean it weekly to maintain the best hygiene.

Makeup brushes are some of the dirtiest items in your makeup bag! You want to make sure you wash your makeup brushes frequently since they carry harmful germs that could cause your skin to breakout. My favorite way to clean my makeup brushes is to grab an all natural soap or shampoo and rub it into the brushes well. Rinse with warm water and lay them out to air dry.

For a while, I kept replacing my makeup bags whenever they got dirty! The truth is that I was wasting a bunch of money. A makeup bag can be easily washed by sticking it in the washing machine and letting it air dry. It'll look brand new and you won't spend an extra penny on a new one.

Mascara wand

Mascara wands have the potential to carry bacteria, which could cause harm to our sensitive eyes. Mascara wands should be washed at least once a month and the process is simple. Rinse all of the makeup and grit with warm water. Then rub in a bit of natural soap or shampoo and rinse again. Allow the wand to dry completely before closing the bottle back up.

Tweezer

There's nothing pretty about a dirty tweezer. To avoid a bad skin irritation, make sure your tweezers are properly clean. Bowl a pot of water and carefully place the tweezer inside. Leave it in for at least five minutes and use a pair of thongs to remove. Rinse with cold water and pat dry.

Hair brush

Hair brushes can get dusty and filled with loose strands of hair. To clean, remove the loose hair. Fill your sink with warm water and soap then soak the brush. Grab an old toothbrush and scrap the brush well, then rinse.

Eyelash curler

A clean eyelash curler works way better than a dirty one! To clean your eyelash curler, take a hair dryer and set to your highest setting. Blow dry the eyelash curler for a few minutes. Then wipe away the grit with a tissue or towel. You won't regret trying this!

Nail clipper

Sanitizing your nail clippers is very important–especially if they're shared in your household. They can spread fungal infections if you don't clean properly. Take a bowl and fill with alcohol, then place nail clipper and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and air dry.
