Kim Kardashian has put her blonde ambitions to rest — at least for now. Only three weeks after debuting a radical hair makeover during Paris Fashion Week, flaunting a Madonna-inspired platinum blonde 'do, the reality TV star has dyed her mane yet again. Kim was spotted taking her daughter North to dance class earlier this week, and photos of the outing have popped up everywhere, leading to deafening chatter about her new hair color. Ready to see the transformation?

Well, there you have it! The Queen of Selfies has gone back to black.
What prompted the change? Well, it's quite possible she tired of the upkeep involved with being a faux blonde. After all, just one week ago, on March 18th, she posted a selfie of herself at the salon on Instagram with the caption "Being blonde is a full time job!"
Or perhaps she tired of all the Internet trolling that her platinum mane was triggering: Instagram and Twitter users suggested she resembled Lord of the Rings' Legolas and Harry Potter character Draco Malfoy, while others accused her of swagger-jacking Serbian model Jelena Karleusa.
Another theory: this was all a publicity stunt. After all, Kim has mastered the art of making herself the center of attention, and dramatic beauty reinventions are an easy way to remain relevant. Maybe she simply knew that a platinum blonde look would create a media frenzy, much like the quick change back to brunette would make headlines. Or maybe, like so many of us, Kim just wanted a change and she experimented with a new look, deciding it ultimately wasn't for her. And hey, it's her hair so she can do as she pleases!
Whetever her reasons for going platinum and then back to black, I hope she's using a deep conditioner! I fully support trying out new looks and having fun with makeovers, but going from one end of the hair color spectrum to the next in such a short period of time is likely to wreak havoc on locks. Hopefully, for the sake of her hair's health, she'll keep her current hair color for at least a few months. Hey, she can always have fun with wigs and extensions!
