Our buddies over at Babyname Wizard came up with a great list of one-syllable baby names. The whole concept of choosing a baby name because it only has one-syllable kind of blew my mind only because I had never thought about it. But now that I think about it there are ALL kinds of great reasons to choose a one-syllable baby name.

Let's say you don't want people shortening your kid's name or giving them a nickname, well, it's pretty impossible to go shorter than one-syllable. Let's say your extended family speaks multiple languages, well, one-syllable names are pretty easy to pronounce, which makes them all that harder to butcher. Let's say you are looking for a short middle name to go with a rather multisyllabic first name, well, one-syllable names are a good place to start.
Inspired by the Babyname Wizard list, I came up with my own list of 35 one-syllable names for boys and girls. Some of the names appear twice because sometimes names work for both niños and niñas.
