I don't know anyone that likes to look of feel bloated, do you? It's rather uncomfortable and not particularly attractive. Even if no one can tell you are bloated you end up feeling like you are three sizes larger than usual. The funny thing is that although of course there is a ton of junk food that can make you bloated and you already know you should stay away from junk food anyway, one of the consequences of eating healthy foods is that they can cause bloating. By no means should you stop eating healthy, but it's good to know which healthy foods cause bloating and what foods you can add to your diet to help keep the bloating in check.

Apples
A manzana a day may help keep the doctor away, but it won't help keep the bloat away. Apples are deliciously sweet partly because they are high in natural fructose sugar. Some people have a hard time digesting fructose, which can lead to bloating.
Legumes
What the heck are legumes anyway? They are edible seeds or pods. A fancy way of saying frijoles, lentils and such. Now, I don't know about you, but there is NO way I am giving up beans. Beans can be hard for a body to break down and result not only in bloating, but tooting. No haypedo, don't forget that I'm going to give you some tips for getting rid of the bloat in a bit. Just keep on clickin' and tootin' if you need to for now.
Dairy
If you have a full on lactose intolerance then of course dairy is going to make you bloat. In that case you can abstain or opt for lactose-free versions of items. I am not lactose intolerant, but I do notice that ice cream and whole milk seem to make me bloated and gassy. Too much information, I know, but it's true and I share because maybe it happens to you, too.
Cruciferous vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables include: broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and many other green leaf vegetables. These veggies are so good for you and you should absolutely gobble them down, but if your body has a hard time digesting the sugars in them, you may bloat and also get gassy. Cooking them helps as opposed to eating them raw and also eating them with some of the bloat fighting foods I will be telling you about helps as well.
Whole grains
Whole grain foods high in fiber are great for you, but can be difficult to digest especially if you are not used to them.
Now what?
Good for you, you've been eating healthy foods and you feel great except for sometimes when you feel empanzada. What should you do now? Keep eating healthy, just add the following foods to your diet to help combat bloating.
Yogurt
Wait, didn't I just tell you that dairy can make you bloated? So why would I suggest yogurt to help with bloating? Because yogurt has probiotics that help build healthy bacteria in your digestive tract that really help with bloating issues. Other foods with probiotics include kefir, kombucha and sauerkraut.
Peppermint
My mother swears by peppermint tea. And it really does soothe an upset belly and help ease bloating. I also find that eating fresh peppermint helps. We have a plant that we nibble on regularly.
Water
Just because you feel like you are retaining water does not mean you should stop drinking water. No, my dear, keep drinking water to help fight the bloat or your body will keep hoarding all that water trying to fight off dehydration.
Cucumbers
Cucumbers have something in them called quercetin which helps fight puffiness, so just like how you put them on your eyes to take the puffiness away, you can eat them to help do the same to your poor little belly.
Banana
If the reason you are bloated is because you over-salted all that healthy food you were eating, then bananas can help you out. The potassium in bananas will help counteract the effects of eating too much salt.
