10 Trendy manicures you NEED to copy this fall!
I love the coral, negative-space half moon manicures seen at the Deplozo Spring 2015 show. Luckily, they're not hard to recreate. A basecoat was first applied to clean, filed nails. Then a coral color was painted in a semi-circle at the base of the nail. Follow with a matte topcoat.
Erin Fetherson
The nail looks created at the Erin Fetherson show were crisp and clean, white manicures with a single gold strip going horizontally across. Replicate this chic design with Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Gold ($7).
Jenny Packham
For the nails at the Jenny Packham show, each ring finger featured an embellished accent design that resembled the jewelry and elaborately beaded gowns from the runway. Two coats of a soft pink polish, like Essie's Mademoiselle ($9) was applied to all the nails. Then on the ring fingers only, a bobby pin was dipped into a copper metallic color, a gold glittery color and a blue glitter polish to create the small dots and the pearl-shaped designs.
Lisa Perry
To get the shiny, metallic manis from the Lisa Perry show, apply one coat of Essie No Place Like Chrome ($9) followed by a quick-drying top coat to help seal in color and enhance the shine.
Opening ceremony
Models at Opening Ceremony wore nails painted with asymmetrical styles in rich green, blue and gray tones. To recreate the negative space diagonal nail designs, apply your preferred polish shade at an angle across each clean and nude nail. Fill in the space to make a diagonal design.
Rebecca Minkoff
The bold nail art designs at Rebecca Minkoff were inspired by the unique 3D prints and color schemes on the runway. The watercolor design was created by applying one coat of a shimmering baby blue polish to half of the nail beginning at the nail bed. An aquamarine shade, like Butter London Nail Lacquer in Fishwife ($15) was then applied to the remaining half of the nail, slightly overlapping in the middle. And then a thin, horizontal fault line was drawn across using a bright red polish.
Altuzzara
Models sported sheer pink nails using Essie Spaghetti Strap ($9) at Altuzzara.
Dion Lee
Nude nails were designed with a vertical silver stripe at Dion Lee using OPI's My Signature is DC ($10).
Alexander Wang
Chalky, soft beige nails were created using one coat of a sandy nude polish then layered with a soft pink.
Reed Krakoff
Vibrant blue was used on nails at the Reed Krakoff. Try two coats of Essie Butler Please ($9).
