Christina Aguilera shows you how to bond with your baby bump

Christina Aguilera shared the cutest baby bump photo the other day on Instagram. The 33-year-old looked fabulous in a fitted maxi dress, but what really drew my attention was a pair of headphones she had sitting on her baby bump. I guess it's never too early to introduce her new baby to her mommy's music. Maybe she'll become a die-hard fan? This is too cute!

"Baby girl getting first listen to what mama's been creating in the studio," was the caption to Christina's adorable pic. I think it's super sweet how Christina tried bonding with her future daughter while recording. Like Xtina, a lot of moms don't want to wait nine months before bonding with their baby. Who could blame them? I know women who played music and others who actually talked to their bellies. Believe it or not, it's actually really important to try to establish that early connection with your child during pregnancy. Fresh out of ideas? Don't worry, here are a few ways you can start bonding with your unborn baby!

Talk to your baby: Fetuses may not hear the way we do, but they definitely CAN hear you. So don't be afraid to talk them. Tell your baby how excited you are to meet them, or simply mention what you're doing. Not only will he or she recognize your voice once they are born, but it will definitely help deepen your bond.

Play music: According to studies, your baby's hearing actually develops as it grows. So not only can it hear any music you play, but it might even help keep your baby calm and relaxed. How adorable is that? "Most babies in utero react very well to the slow movements of baroque-type music, such as Mozart or Vivaldi," Thomas Verny, M.D. author of The Secret Life of the Unborn Child told Parents magazine. "Musicologists seem to agree that these rhythms, similar to the mother's heartbeat, have the most calming effect."

Message your belly: A great way to get your baby to feel your touch is by gently rubbing your belly. In some cases you might experience your baby moving towards you!

Write to your baby: I know a lot of moms who wrote letters to their unborn child or just kept a pregnancy journal. Not only will it enhance your connection but you can also give it to your child when they're older.

Read to your baby: When my cousin was pregnant she read her baby books after books. She said she did it as a means to connect with her unborn daughter but also because she heard it helps improve the fetus' brain development.
