Theresa Roemer has a 3,000 square foot closet. That's bigger than most homes in the U.S. I would venture to guess. It is the largest closet in the entire country and she was even featured on Good Morning America for it.
The three-story closet held an inumerable amount of shoes, handbags, and furs (yuck!) and cost $500,000 to build. Or at least it used to. Roemer claims that last night someone broke in and cleared her out. Um, hate to say it, but does this seem a little bit like karma to anyone else?

Roemer says that when she and her hubby returned to their gated community in a The Woodlands, all of her Birkin bags, jewelry and furs had been stolen! All in all, the theif got away with between $500,000 to $1 million worth of goods.
The thief seems like a real pro, according to Roemer "He was a total professional and he's on tape. He broke in through the bathroom window in the master bedroom." Apparantly, he was also wearing a full-on jumpsuit and black hoodie, making it super difficult to ascertain any physical charactertistics.
In all honesty, I feel bad for Mrs. Roemer, she lost some jewelry that clearly had sentimental value and no one deserves to be robbed. But I always wonder if this happens when people do insane, ostentatious stuff like build themselves half-a-million, three story closets and then flaunt it all over local and national television. In addition to appearing on GMA, Roemer was also featured in Cosmopolitan magazine and every single local news outlet around the Houston area! Next time, maybe she will just enjoy her luxurious home in privacy?
