Crush two aspirin into however much shampoo you normally use to wash, wash your hair with the mixture and leave it in for about 2 minutes before rinsing. Then wash again with plain shampoo. This works because aspirin has salicylic acid in it, just like dandruff shampoos.
Tea tree oil

I swear by tea tree oil, it's good for so many things in your home and you may have noticed that there are shampoos that brag about having tea tree oil in them. One particular study found that shampoo with just 5 percent tea tree oil in it significantly reduces dandruff. So add a couple of drops to your shampoo when you wash.
Baking soda

If you don't have baking soda in your home, what is wrong with you? Go out and get some now! It's another one of those multipurpose household must haves.
To use baking soda to get rid of dandruff, use it in place of shampoo. Rub a handful into your wet hair and scalp, massage it into your scalp and rinse. The baking soda reduces some of the fungi that can cause dandruff.
Lemons

The acidity in lemons helps get rid of dandruff and keep it away. Massage 2 tablespoons of lemon into your scalp and rinse. Then take a mixture of 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 cup water and rinse your hair. Keep doing this every day until your dandruff goes away.
Salt

Surely you have salt in your home. Salt is great for getting out dandruff flakes. Grab a handful of salt, scrub it into your scalp, give yourself a good massage with it to work out dandruff flakes and then shampoo as usual.
