There's no denying Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has come a long way from her fist-pumping days. Since having her son Lorenzo in 2012 the self-proclaimed guidette has traded beer bottles and nightclubs for baby bottles and cribs. Despite the drastic lifestyle makeover, there's one thing that's never changed about the pint-sized reality star: her sense of humor.

On Saturday, July 5, the seven-months-preggers reality star poked fun at her hard-partying past, tweeting a pic of herself dressed in a pair of loose leopard print pajama pants and bump-hugging tank top, captioned: "Goin hard this 4th of July weekend….#momlife."

And though Snooki was obviously in no condition to hit the clubs, she wasn't lying about going hard. Last week, the reality vet started shooting the upcoming season of Snooki & JWoww alongside her pregnant bestie Jenni "JWoww" Farley and guest starred on an upcoming episode of Project Runway Allstars, all while raising her 22-month-old son, dealing with pregnancy back pains, and planning a wedding. Oh, and did I mention she's still going hard at the gym? On Saturday, the Twitter-obsessed star tweeted an old photo of herself and JWoww flexing their biceps, along with a vow to get her pre-pregnancy body back. Later that day, Snooki was spotted making good on her promise at a local New Jersey gym. Phew!
I've got to hand it to Snooki, the woman is going hard, and I respect her for that. But what I love most about the over-the-top reality star (besides the countless gifs and catchphrases she's blessed the world with over the years) is how she's managed to own her wild past and move beyond it, all without completely losing herself in the process. And really, isn't that what we should be teaching our young girls–and even grown women–to do? So here's to hoping Snooki's bambina inherits her mami's wicked sense of humor and sorry-not-sorry attitude. Something tells me she will.
