Christina Milian shows us how to find the perfect purple lipstick for our skin tone

I'm not going to lie, as much as I love Christina Milian some of her makeup choices lately haven been sort of questionable. But I have to say, she really left me impressed at Nickelodeon's 27th Annual Kid's Choice Awards recently. The singer/actress and mom to 4-year-old daughter Violet, looked absolutely gorg wearing a purple lipstick that really complimented her warm skin tone and works perfect for spring. It's making me want to rush to the nearest drug store and buy every purple lipstick in stock. I LOVE it!

In case you didn't hear, orchid (a pinkish/purple color) is Pantone's official color for 2014. The great thing about orchid and most purple shades is that it looks AMAZING against medium or dark skin tones like Christina's. Trust me–there's a purple lipstick out there for every chica (regardless of her skin tone)! Here's how to find the best one for you!

If you're fair: Women with fair skin (and pink/reddish undertones) look best with a berry shade that has tints of blue. Try MAC Lipstick in Up The Amp ($16).

If you're olive: An orchid color complements an olive complexion and brings out your yellow undertones. Try Maybelline New Color Elixir in Dashing Orchid ($8).

If you're tan: I'm in love with Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Lavender ($24). This orchid shade works perfect for the naturally tan or caramel-colored Latina!

If you're dark: Try a violet/purple lipstick like Revlon Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Couture ($7) if you have a darker complexion like Christina Milian's. It's so pretty!
