Latin cup cakes

Cupcakes instead of cake isn't a new thing, but it is still a great thing. Here Paula Garces, star of Devious Maids, and her good friend Adrienne Bailon show off sweets from the all Latina-owned business Brooklyn Cupcakes. The cupcakes flavors were Tres Leches, Flan, and Guava.
Bring on the dudes

Men were allowed at Kim Kardashian's baby shower. Here you can see Kourtney Kardashian's dude, Scott Disick, getting his baby shower on. I'm all for co-ed baby showers and think there should be more of them.
Keep 'em guessing?

Love this picture of singing sensation Fergie holding up a talking bubble that reads, "say my name" at her baby shower. Have your guests guess at what you are thinking of naming your baby. It's up to you whether you tell them if they are right or wrong before or after you have the baby.
Make it virtual

Shakira had an online baby shower that we were all invited too. She asked people to donate to Unicef for her e-shower. You could do something similar and upload photos of your actual baby shower online in real time for those who can't make it in person.
Raise the roof!

Jenny might be from the block, but when she had her baby shower in 2007, she had it on the roof of the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City. If the weather is nice, you could find a gorgeous rooftop for your baby shower.
Go pink & blue

When Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had a baby shower for their twins in 2011, they went for an adults only affair with pink and blue decor because they were having a boy and a girl.
Get out of Kansas

Pick a theme that gets you excited even if it doesn't necessarily scream BABY SHOWER. In 2007. Nicole Richie had a Wizard of Oz themed baby shower because she loves the movie and a quick look around Pinterest shows that many have followed this trendsetters lead.
