Those who tune into Hulu's The Kardashians know that Khloé Kardashian has had a rough past six years or so. The Good American founder, 40, coped with multiple cheating scandals involving her now ex, Tristan Thompson. Additionally. Khloé was diagnosed with skin cancer and underwent surgery to remove it.

The melanoma was on her cheek, and although doctors were able to remove it, the surgery left a pronounced indent in its place. Recently, Khloé revealed she got filler to help restore the look of her face. And the before-and-after photos show a huge difference.
Khloé posted the before-and-after filler photos via Snapchat.
On October 11, Khloé took to Snapchat to give followers a visual of how she looked before getting cheek filler where the melanoma was removed. She included side-by-side pictures of the indent before fillers and the drastically improved indent after filler. Additionally, Khloé included a snap of her bandaged face after the surgery.
Additionally, she offered insight into the timeline of the filler.
“As a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed, I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face,” she explained in her Snapchat video, per E! Online. “I waited 9 months after surgery to get the indentation filled.”
She added, “We had to make sure medically everything was safe and my doctor gave me the go ahead.”
Khloé revealed her melanoma diagnosis in 2022.
In 2022, Khloé explained how she first suspected something was wrong. "We started here. This small spec as of melanoma," she wrote on her Instagram story, including a photo showing the spot. "Yes, that tiny dot I thought was a pimple for almost a year."
In her Instagram Story, she shared graphic photos of what her cheek looked like after the surgery.
Another picture Khloé included in her 2022 Instagram Story showed a look at the stitched-up incision after removing the melanoma. It measured 4 centimeters and had more than 10 stitches. The sheer size of the surgical area was to ensure clear margins.
As Khloé explained, her doctor did everything he could to prevent scarring.
To help Khloé avoid developing a keloid — a thick, raised scar — her doctor had her keep everything as "flat as possible." This helped ensure the scar and incision weren't pulled and stretched as it healed. Khloé also included a photo of how the incision was bandaged to accomplish the goal.
She shared photos of her indent then, too.
"This is my indention before my Armenian Tribe helped fill my cheek with the ok from dr Fischer," Khloé captioned a close-up of the healed indentation. "I waited over nine months to get this filled by the way. Patience is everything and of course we have to make sure medically everything is all safe."
In another look at the indentation, she added, "I am definitely not complaining because I would rather have an indention than melanoma any day. I am so incredibly grateful to all the doctors who helped and continue to help me with my skin cancer journey."
