To recap, Bennifer met on the set of their film Gigli and started dating in 2002. They got engaged later that year but called off the wedding in early 2004. In 2021, J.Lo and Ben started dating again before eloping to Las Vegas in July 2022. They had a second, extravagant wedding reception the following month. All seemed to be going well until divorce rumors emerged in May 2024.

On August 15, Ben celebrated his 52nd birthday. J.Lo was caught by paparazzi outside his Brentwood, California, rental home amid rampant reports that they're heading for divorce. The actress wore a tan jacket and jeans for the visit, along with earrings and a ponytail.
However, J.Lo did not post a social media tribute for Ben's big day.
Jennifer's Instagram grid was noticeably missing any birthday shoutouts for Ben on August 15. Last year, by contrast, the "Get Loud" singer posted a video of herself and Ben lip-syncing to Sam Cooke's "(What A) Wonderful World." She captioned the update, "Dear Ben … Happy Birthday. I love you!"
Instead, she shared throwback photos from her birthday bash in the Hamptons.
Although Jen didn't share a social media birthday tribute for her husband, she did post on August 15. The "Jenny From the Block" singer shared a carousel of photos via Instagram of herself posing in a sheer Dior dress. As Page Six reported, they were throwback pictures from her birthday celebration in the Hamptons, New York, in July.
Ben was noticeably absent from his wife's birthday events.
On July 24, J.Lo turned 55. She celebrated with a Bridgerton-themed party in the Hamptons. Additionally, she gathered with family and close friends for a birthday lunch. Ben was noticeably absent for both events.
Reportedly, Bennifer has been living separately for months.
In May, TMZ reported that Ben and Jen were living separately. The Argo star had reportedly been staying at a rental house in the Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles. Page Six reported on May 16 that this had been the arrangement "over the past week or so."
They listed their $60 million mansion and recently made other property moves.
In July, Ben and Jen publicity listed their Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million. They purchased it in 2023 for roughly $60 million. Meanwhile, Jennifer sold her Madison Square Park penthouse in New York City in July, per the New York Post. And Ben purchased a $20.5 million Los Angeles "bachelor pad" in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
