Congratulations are in order for newlyweds Chiquis Rivera and Emilio Sanchez! They tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas ceremony on Friday, July 5. The brand spankin' new Mr. and Mrs. broke the news via social media, sharing photographs of their big day in which they both look amazing. Chiquis is radiant in a form-fitting strapless white satin gown and Emilio looks all dashing in a tuxedo and bow tie. Their looks go spectacularly with their ginormous smiles.

We all knew the wedding was coming because Janney Marin “Chiquis” Rivera, daughter of the late Diva de la Banda Jenni Rivera, shared with fans in May 2023 that she and her photographer honey Emilio got engaged. Still, the wedding came as a surprise to the public and maybe even to the couple’s wedding photographer, who captured stunning images of the couple. Take a look.

What’s there not to like about it? It fits her to perfection. It’s elegant without being ostentatious. It shows some skin without being scandalous. The train is not overly dramatic yet impactful. Take a scroll through the pictures to get the full vibe.

The veil is long—longer than the train on her dress—and has the most beautiful embroidery adorning it. It adds just the right amount of special without detracting from the gown.

Christopher shared an image to his IG Stories and wrote: “Been in Pennsylvania the past week but flew to Vegas for a couple hours to photograph these two love birds wedding. Congratulations you two ❤️.”
We're not sure if he knew in advance that he was going to shoot their wedding or if he just got a last-minute call.
A little backstory on the lovebirds.
Chiquis and Emilio started dating in 2021. This was after Chiquis and her former husband Lorenzo Méndez divorced in 2020, so she wasn’t necessarily looking for love, but love shows up on its own timeline.
He proposed in 2023 on his special day.
“Today really took a turn … for the better. ✨,” Chiquis shared via Instagram on May 28, 2023, alongside a video. It should be noted that Emilio was born on May 28, 1992, and was celebrating his birthday on a hike with his lady.

Emilio was thrilled.
“Best Birthday of my Life. ,” he wrote alongside two pictures of himself and his love. The way his eyes are crinkling when he smiles lets you know that he truly is overjoyed.
Much has been made of the age gap between the two.
Chiquis is about seven years older than Emilio, but neither of them feels that it has negatively impacted their relationship. They’ve talked about it candidly and publicly via the podcast Chiquis and Chill.
