On Monday, former billionaire Kanye West was hit by a lawsuit from his former assistant Lauren Pisciotta accusing him of sexual harassment, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and a hostile work environment. According to the court filing, Lauren was hired to be Ye’s “executive assistant/personal assistant” in 2021 as he prepared the first season of his Yeezy Women’s line. The court documents also state that Lauren collaborated on three tracks of the rappers 2021 album, Donda.

The filing contains examples of sexually explicit texts and behaviors that Lauren alleges to have experienced. I'll share plenty of details, but first…according to TMZ, Ye's legal rep told them that the rapper intends to sue Lauren because she's the one that was inappropriate and then tried to extort and blackmail him when "her advances were rejected." Yeah, it's a lot to take in, but let's try.
Who is Lauren Pisciotta?
According to several publications, including Daily Mail, Lauren is 35 years old. I can also tell you that she has a rather larger following on Instagram. Also, I think she looks a little like Ye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian. I mean not exactly, but still.
Why is she suing Ye?
According to her court filing, she was hired by Ye in July 2021. At that time, he was getting ready to launch his Yeezy line. A stipulation of the job was that she had to be available to 24/7. In exchange, she would be paid a salary of $1 million a year. She accepted.
Prior to being hired by Ye, Lauren was an OnlyFans content creator.
According to the court filing, Lauren had an OnlyFans account that was making her $1 million per year. At some point after she was hired, she alleges that Ye asked her to close the account and be more “God like.” In return, he raised her salary by $1 million to make up for the lost income.
She closed the OnlyFans account as requested, then things got creepy.
Allegedly, once she closed the OnlyFans account in 2022, she started getting sexually explicit messages from Ye. Definitely, not the kind of messages anyone should get from their employer.
What kind of messages?
“See my problem is I be wanting to [expletive] but then after I [expletive] I want a girl to tell me how hard they been [expletive] while I’m [expletive] them,” is one of the examples shared in the filing. Ye allegedly added, “Then I want her to cheat on me.”
"Is my [expletive] racist?" is another example of an inappropriate message Ye is alleged to have sent to the former assistant. As well as, “I'm going to stare at pictures of white woman with black [expletive] and beat the [expletive] out of my racist [expletive]."
According to the lawsuit, it went far beyond explicit messages.
It is also alleged that Ye sent the former employee videos of him engaging in sexual acts with other people and that she was asked to deliver some kind of sexual enhancing “honey,” whatever that means, before his sex encounters.
There are so many other disturbing allegations.
Lauren states that when she would talk to Ye on the phone about work issues, he would masturbate. She also alleges he would ask about the size of her past boyfriends’ penises.
Allegedly, he would make her remove her cardigan at work because “it was covering too much.” She also claims that during a flight to Paris, he locked her in his private room, and masturbated under covers and fell asleep while she sat on a chair.
She was promoted in September 2022.
According to the court filing, she was promoted to chief of staff in September 2022. The promotion, she says she was told, was to raise her salary $4 million. However, she was fired the next month and accepted an offer of a $3 million severance package, which she claims was never paid.
Her lawsuit claims that Ye got angry with her when she refused to “date or have sex” with him. She is suing for compensation for breach of contract and a hostile work environment.
According to TMZ, Ye is going to countersue.
TMZ reports they received the following message from a legal rep for Ye: "In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected."
TMZ also wrote that Ye's legal rep accused Lauren of "stealing Kanye's phone in an attempt to destroy evidence that would run counter to her narrative."
Let them have their days in court.
I hope that they both get fair hearings in court and that justice prevails. I also hope that the public doesn’t come at this woman with the same old tired questions of, “Why did she wait so long?” or, “Why did she stay?” or other such nonsense. The only question that actually matters is, “Did he do what she claims he did?” That’s it! And if he did, then he needs to be held accountable.
Same goes for Ye's case. If he sues her and she did do what he claims, then she should be held accountable. Chances are people aren't going to be coming at him and asking why he didn't say something sooner, though.
