Music producer Benny Blanco, who is madly in love with Selena Gomez and she with him, was on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show and basically said he’s ready to have kids with the multi-hyphenate star. And now I can’t stop singing: Benny and Selena sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First comes love. Then comes marriage (maybe). Then comes baby in a baby carriage. This is so friggin’ exciting because there is no way he would go and reveal this to the public, if it wasn’t something he’s already discussed with Selena, right?

Also, Selena has made it clear that she is head over heels in love with this guy and she’s also said more than once that even though she may not be able to carry a baby herself—more on that in a bit—she wants to be a mom. Does this mean we’ll be seeing the couple with a baby in a baby carriage soon? Well, here’s what we know so far.
Things got very personal when Benny talked to Howard Stern.
Benny had no problem admitting that he thinks about having kids with Selena “every day.” And Howard had no problem asking: “You want to have kids with Selena? Have you told her you want to have kids yet?”
Benny’s response did not beat around the bush!
“That’s my next goal, to check the box,” Benny said. “I have a ton of godkids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.” OMG! OMG! OMG! That’s big. That definitely implies that they have discussed it and are maybe already working on it. SQUEE!
But are they going to get married before having kids?
When Howard asked if Benny was planning on proposing to Sel, the answer this time around was not as direct. “I take everything a day at a time,” Benny shared. “I just know that when I look at her, I just say, ‘I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.’ That’s what I always say to her.”
Benny and Selena have known each other for a bit.
They collaborated on the song “I Can’t Get Enough,” which came out in 2019. You can catch Benny Blanco dressed as a bunny blanco in the video for that song. Then in 2023, Benny co-produced her song “Single Soon.”
In 2023, rumors spread that B and S were dating.
In a since-deleted December 2023 post by Popfaction, Selena slid into the comments section to confirm that she and Benny were indeed an item and had been seeing each other in that way for about six months. She called him her “absolute everything” and “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her.
Trolls made some nasty comments about Benny.
Awful comments were made about Benny’s appearance, character, etc. Selena was not having it and responded: “If you don’t [care about me] feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done.”
She also wrote: “If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all.” Good for her! Love is to be celebrated, not to be picked apart by strangers on the internet who are being disgustingly superficial.
I mean really, where do people get off? I won’t repeat some of the comments that were made about Benny because I can’t believe that strangers think it’s OK for them to put a person down that way when the only thing that matters is how Selena feels about him and vice versa.

“When we went out on our first date, I didn’t even know it was a date,” Benny told Howard of his first date with Selena. “I remember sitting there and she’s like, ‘Well, I would have worn something different for this date,’ and I was like, ‘What? We’re on a date?’”

In a November 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, Selena shared that because takes bipolar medications, she might not be able to have kids herself, but that isn’t going to stop her from becoming a mom.
Two of the medications that she takes for her bipolar disorder might make it impossible for her to carry her own babies she told the publication at the time. “That’s a very big, big, present thing in my life,” she said. “However I’m meant to have them, I will.”
