Like many celebrities, Colombian singer Karol G frequently uses a private jet for travel. She flies all across the world for performances, awards shows, and concerts—and most of the time, flights happen without incident. However, Karol G’s jet was recently involved in an emergency landing that likely has the singer a bit shaken up.

Let’s take a closer look at what happened with Karol G’s private jet.
Karol G’s private jet made an emergency landing on February 29.
The singer’s private jet took off from Burbank Airport in California on Thursday, February 29, ABC7 reported. When the plane’s cockpit started filling with smoke, it was forced to make an emergency landing in Los Angeles. At roughly 9 p.m. local time, the jet landed safely at Van Nuys Airport.
No injuries were reported.
A total of 16 passengers were aboard Karol G’s private jet when it filled with smoke while in the air. Emergency vehicles and responders met the aircraft as it landed. Thankfully, no injuries were reported from the incident, as of writing.
Video footage of the jet landing has circulated on social media.
Alongside details of the emergency landing, ABC7 shared video footage of the jet landing. The clip also showed Karol G on the tarmac as she talked to someone on the phone. In yet another section of the video, she hugged another passenger.
Fans expressed their concern and gratitude.
On X (formerly Twitter), fans reacted to the news of Karol G’s jet’s emergency landing. One X user wrote: “Praying @karolg and everyone who was with her on this. Happy that everyone is safe. Thank you for the quick response fireman's & first responders."
Another person shared, “Karol g making an emergency landing bc of her jet catching fire omg she got angels following her.”
Yet another X user wrote: “OMG! This is so scary! Karol G's private jet had to make an emergency landing [due] to smoke in the cockpit. Glad KG, her family, and team are safe!”
Karol G has not released a statement about the incident.
As of writing, Karol G has not commented about the incident on any of her social media accounts or to any publication. Considering the emergency landing happened so recently, the “QLONA” singer is likely still processing the ordeal. Hopefully, she emotionally recovers and experts get to the bottom of what happened with her private jet.

As Page Six reported, the “Ahora Me llama” songstress recently completed a string of concert dates in Mexico. She was scheduled for more dates in Guatemala City on March 1 and 2. In light of the jet incident, however, it’s unclear whether Karol G will cancel or reschedule those performances.
