Never mind that ever since he slapped Chris Rock just moments before winning the Oscar for best actor at the 2022 Academy Awards Will Smith has kept to himself and seemingly tried to stay out of the spotlight. I say “never mind” because he still keeps making headlines since other people can’t stop talking about him, especially as of late what with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith releasing her memoir Worthy on October 17 and now Brother Bilaal, a self-declared former friend/assistant of the Oscar-winner, saying he walked in on Will and Duane Martin having sex years ago.

This isn’t the first time that someone other than Will Smith or Duane Martin has said that the two are more than friends, so it’s not like this is new gossip or anything. The reason it’s back in the headlines is because Brother Bilaal was interviewed by Tasha K for her online series UnWine With Tasha K and the teaser that was released to promote the show features Bilaal talking about how he walked in on Duane all up in Will’s private business, if you know what I’m saying. The details he shared are unnecessarily descriptive in my opinion, especially since they aren’t even his details to share. Anyway, here is what Bilaal said, plus Will and Jada's reaction.
Who the heck is Brother Bilaal?
According to him, he is Will’s “ex-best friend” and former assistant. “During the latter years of our relationship Will was not my friend. I was his friend,” Bilaal tells Tasha K. I’d venture to say that after this, Will may never again want to have anything to do with him.
In the clip, he refers to Will’s intimate bit as being the size of a ‘pinkie toe.’
“You saw her say that Will Smith has a small d—?” Tasha asks, referring to Jada Pinkett Smith. And Bilaal responds: “Oh, I am saying to you, if a woman is used to something the size of a baby leg and you come in with a pinkie toe, there’s nothing you going to do to please her.”
Now come on! Why go there? Why compare Will’s member to a pinkie toe and make suppositions about what Jada is used to? I can’t! That’s just too much! Like how the heck is this man going to just make all these assumptions?
Who needs enemies with a friend like Bilaal?
Tasha hits the nail on the head when she asks Bilaal: “Who needs enemies when they got friends like you?” For reals, though! Even if you are no longer friends with someone, shouldn’t you keep some things to yourself?
Bilaal claims that he walked in on a sexual act between Will and Duane.
According to Bilaal, he was on set, running around looking for Will, and couldn’t find him. “Now, I’m holding Duane down too, so I had the keys to his dressing room,” Bilaal says. So, he decides to open the door to Duane’s dressing room and that’s when he claims he saw Duane penetrating Will.
He could have left it at that, but nope.
“There was a couch and Will was bent over on the couch and Duane was standing up killing him,” Bilaal says. He says a lot more, but I really don’t feel like repeating any of it, so you can watch the clip above if you want to know. Just be warned: It’s graphic, so make sure no kids ae around and you aren't at work.
Who is Duane Martin?
In case you don’t know, Duane is an actor. He first worked with Will on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He’s also been in films including White Men Can’t Jump and Scream 2. Duane was married to actress Tisha Campbell for over 20 years. They were married in 1996, announced their separation in 2018 and their divorce was finalized in 2020. They share two children.
Will’s rep responded to the allegations.
“This story is completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false," a rep for Will says. According to a source that spoke to TMZ, Will may take legal action. We’ll see if that happens.
What about Jada?
Bilaal said a lot of things about Jada, too. On Wednesday, as she was leaving iHeartRadio, she was asked about her reaction to Bilaal’s interview and answered: "We suin'!" Who can blame them?
Closing thoughts on the matter.
Here’s what I think: Bilaal needs to learn to knock before using a key to bust into a room. I mean, who walks into a locked dressing room without knocking first? Not cool. Also, Will’s sexuality is none of Bilaal's business. Even if what he claims to have seen is true, it’s not for him to out Will and Duane. They are grown people. Period. End of story.
