Anastasia Pokreshchuk, from Kiev, Ukraine, is OBSESSED with getting hyaluronic acid cheek filler injections multiple times a year. She’s so into getting these injections to alter her appearance that she doesn’t always go to a doctor to get them. That’s right—she admits to injecting herself with them! As in, she grabs a syringe filled with hyaluronic acid, looks in a mirror, and pumps up her own cheeks. It has even become her goal to become the Guinness World Record holder for woman with the largest cheeks. Oh, and it’s not just her cheeks that she injects with filler. "I regularly inject other parts of my face myself. I understand that they look weird for other people but I don't mind," she says.

Many people would say that her enhanced appearance is over the top, but she loves it and feels so much more confident than she did before. She may have detractors, but she also has over 265,000 Instagram followers who are just fine with her everchanging look. She went on the British television show This Morning to explain why she loves getting fillers, why she isn’t worried about injecting herself, and how she gets more romantic attention now than she did before her drastic transformation.
Anastasia didn’t like how she looked before all the fillers.
Her mother thought she was “naturally beautiful” before, but Anastasia and her friends thought she “looked like a grey mouse” before getting fillers. She definitely did not look like a grey mouse before, but it doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks if you’re not happy with your own appearance.
She feels much more confident now than she did before the fillers.
“My nose was too big,” she says. "Now I have lips and cheeks and it looks okay.” The change in her lips is not as extreme as the change in her cheeks, but it is apparent that she’s also used fillers to make them plumper.
What does her mother think?
"My mum thinks this is a little bit crazy, but what can she do? No regrets, never any regrets, I'm happy with my cheeks," shares Anastasia. In the end, it’s not her mother’s call to make, but we can only imagine it must be hard to see your child’s face change so much because they were so unhappy with how they looked before.
What does a doctor think about her administering her own injections?
Dr. Alex Karidis appeared on The Morning show alongside Anastasia. "There's a reason why injectable fillers are administered by experienced practitioners, there's a huge amount of skill and knowledge required,” he warned Anastasia. "There's always complications that can occur even in experienced hands."
Despite the doctor’s warnings, she’s not worried.
Anastasia understands that it can be dangerous to inject herself, but she isn’t worried because, as she says, “I am learning online.” Apparently, she has been following online tutorials, and as far as she’s concerned, that’s good enough.
Does she worry about getting infections?
Not really, because she feels like she is being careful. "An infection is not good, but everything is sterilized when I'm doing this," she shares. That may be the case, but it still seems dangerous and likely increases the chances of getting an infection at some point.
Even if she does get an infection, she's not worried.
"[I won't] die, no. There is an antidote," she says. She seems confident that if she were to get an infection it could be treated so that she doesn't die. Hopefully, should the situation arise, she will go to an actual doctor instead of trying to treat the infection herself.
She says she gets more attention now with filler than she did before.
“Of course, I have more attention with my filler, romantic also. But it's not to do with my cheeks—it's because I have become more confident,” she says. She definitely gets a lot of attention, and good for her for feeling more confident.
She claims to have the biggest cheeks in the world.
If Anastasia says she has the biggest cheeks in the world, we can't argue with her. We have certainly never seen any that are larger than hers, and we also haven't heard of anyone else coming forward to contest her claims.
Still, she isn't satisfied.
“You may think that they are too big but I think that they’re a little bit small, I need to refresh them again soon,” says Anastasia. It makes you wonder if she will ever be satisfied with them or if she is always going to be trying to make them more prominent. Will she ever stop? It doesn't look like she'll stop anytime soon.
How long has she been using cheek fillers?
She started using them around 2016 and fell in love. “I love them, I want them to look like this and I’m very happy," she says. At first, the fillers weren't all that noticeable. Even as far back as 2018, her cheeks weren't looking like they were on their way to becoming the biggest cheeks in the world.
You won't believe some of the things people say to her.
It makes sense that her extreme appearance would lead to extreme reactions, but some people are downright awful to her. "I've had people tell me I am an ugly [expletive] and that I should kill myself but when I see it I just laugh it off and ignore it," she says. Wow! Just WOW!
Cheek injections aren't the only way she has changed her appearance.
She uses fillers on her lips and the corners of her mouth. She's also had Botox treatments for her forehead. She says she's had so many procedures done that she's actually lost count. And the procedures she's undergone go far beyond just injections.
She's not afraid of surgical procedures.
Getting injections seems easy compared to some of the other things that the Instagram model has done to change the way she looks. For example, she has had both her chin and jaw reshaped. That can't be easy or pain-free to do, can it? It sounds incredibly painful to us, but what do we know?
Looks like she may have gotten breast implants as well.
“I want to get a boob job because nature didn’t give me any breasts at all,” she said in the past. Looking at some of her more recent pictures, we'd be willing to bet that she went ahead and got implants because her chest is looking fuller than it did in past photos.
As far as her cheeks go, she wants to become the world record holder.
She has shared that she would like to become the Guinness World Record holder for the woman with the largest cheeks in the world. Maybe if she is able to achieve that goal, she will stop trying to make her cheeks bigger. Someone call the people at Guinness World Records already.
