I enjoy oral sex just as much as the next chick. But I also won't let my guy go down there unless I'm feeling fresh. I've noticed that a lot of us women tend to feel a little self-conscious about how our vaginas smell. Makes sense considering there's a whole industry our there built around making your lady parts smell like roses. I'm talking feminine washes, wipes, douches, and even sprays. But the truth is, your vagina wasn't made to smell like flowers. It's actually normal for it to have a distinct aroma—not a smelly one, just distinct. And believe it or not, most men LOVE this smell!

If you're noticing a funky, fishy smell down there, then you should probably pay a visit to your gyno to make sure there isn't anything medically wrong. But if you're just looking to make it smell (and even taste) better down there, you totally can without relying on crazy products that might mess with your vagina's natural pH balance. Check them out!
Practice proper hygiene: The key to having a healthy, somewhat odor-less vagina is to make sure you're keeping things clean down there. My mom, along with most of the women in my family, grew up in Dominican Republic having a toilet in their homes along with a bidet to clean their lady parts. If you don't have one, you can always keep a small pitcher or container by your toilet (like I do). Try washing with a mild, fragrance-free soap and water every time you shower and before and after sex.
Use breathable panties: Try switching to cotton panties. It's the only material that allows your vagina to breathe. It also helps reduce sweating and moisture buildup that can lead to a funky bacterial infection.
Try wipes: Doctors normally don't recommend you use feminine washes, douches, and sprays because they can create a pH imbalance in your vagina that can result in an infection, along with odor. The best way to wash is with mild soap and water. But if you want to freshen up while you're out or at work (especially during the summertime), carry fragrance-free baby wipes in your purse. If they're gentle enough for a baby, they're most likely gentle enough for your va-ja-jay.
Drink pineapple juice: I've always heard that drinking pineapple juice can make your vagina smell and taste better. I'm not sure how true this actually is, but it's worth trying!
Take probiotics: A smelly vagina usually means there's an infection going on down there. To avoid a yeast infection or bacterial imbalance, try taking probiotic supplements or eating yogurt that contains probiotics daily. This promotes good bacteria and helps prevent and fight bacterial and fungal vaginal infections.
Pee before and after sex: Urinating before and after sex is another good way to avoid infections and clean out your system from any harmful bacteria that can cause odors.
Eat fruit: Supposedly drinking plenty of water and eating sweet-tasting fruits, like pineapple or strawberries, can contribute to a great-smelling vagina. There's no medical proof of this, but all my girlfriends swear by this!
