When you're Latina, shopping for skin care and makeup products can be a challenge. Luckily, times have changed and I can now easily find foundation that perfectly matches my naturally tan skin. But CC creams that are meant to color correct hyperpigmentation, pesky manchas, and uneven skin tones (problems most of us Latinas have) and skincare products specifically designed for us aren't easy to come by. With that said, how do we know what skincare and makeup products work best for us?

Use color-correcting serums

Hyperpigmentation and dark spots are common skincare problems for most of us Latinas. Look for a serum that's going to erase manchas and give you glowy, even skin. I love Dior Snow Anti-Spot Serum ($155). It's light enough to wear under any moisturizer.
Always apply SPF

Just because you have naturally tan or olive skin, doesn't mean you're safe from UV harm. Make sure to apply a moisturizer than contains sunscreen in it all the time–even during the winter! Try Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 35 ($10).
Find your perfect match

If you're shopping for a liquid foundation, make sure to test it out on your jawline first. If it blends right in and matches your neck it's most likely a perfect match. I recommend Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15 ($48). It comes in a ton of shades, so you're bound to find one that fits.
Get rid of dark circles

Apply an eye cream that specifically targets dark circles daily, like Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector ($40).
Make concealer your best friend

Look for a concealer stick that can cover both dark circles and manchas. Clea De Peau Beaute Concealer ($70) works wonders.
Wear bold lipstick

Don't be afraid to rock a bright lipstick. Bold colors like coral or hot pink complement an olive, tan, or dark skin tone. I'm currently obsessed with Tarte Power Pigment in Natural Beauty ($24). It adds the perfect pop of color!
